Lol. That is because we played counter attacking football while defending using a low block for majority of games last season, so their pace wasn't a problem.

Now that we have more quality and dominate games, high line became inevitable, so they are being exposed left and right, and in addition to the regular odd errors that they make , including De Gea, which has always been there since last season, so it's no surprise that our goal conceeding rate increased astronomically this season. We are only doing better, point wise this season because our attack improved tremendously, so we score more goals.

You shouldn't be setting offside trap in that situation. The risk is too high as was proven. They should have dropped deeper and cleared the ball AND the keeper should have been coming out to clear everybody in his path bu De Gea is a sissy at his core. Greenwood is more selfish. His confidence in his shooting ability makes him keep his head down always while around the box. Recently, his shoots when there is traffic in front of him and it is blocked.

I don't know what the plan was but if it was to keep a high line and play them offside it was the wrong plan IMO.

Just like that Istanbul away game, the lack of any sort of defensive cohesion in this team is glaring.
That's how they tried to set an offside trap against Fulham few weeks back that resulted in us conceding.
