You know sometimes unforseen delays or circumstances can come on occasion days. I am not sure anyone will deliberately want to keep people (especially officiating pastors) waiting on their wedding day...all the same, his reaction was too extreme is the point I am making.

Just go to your reception venue, look for a pastor friend to do the needful. Simple

If I were the groom. I would announce to everyone that the venue of the church service has changed and that they should just give me twenty minutes to announce the new place.

By the time I place two, three calls, a pastor will be gotten who is is ready to pronounce us husband and wife and everyone will drive down there immediately for the wedding.

I have about three pastor friends that will volunteer to do the do shapperly.

Traditionally, the groom is supposed to already be at the Church Venue before the bride arrives, such that even if she was late for whatever reason other than the proverbial 'bride is always late to her wedding', the groom would already be present to convince everyone including time-concious Pastor, of their wish to get married.

A pastor wanted to ruin my wedding day too but I no gree.
My husband got to the church everything was set but he no see pastor, he called him and pastor said he's on his way.
After 1 hour, I came to church and was informed pastor had not come and was no longer taking calls.
I smiled, walked up to my eldest Brother in-law (A pastor) and told him to join us.
He did, end of story. We proceeded to Traditional marriage Venue (I kuku saw the pastor there as he was smiling shamefully).

(We later discovered he had a richer person's wedding to officiate)

I remembered last November when a couple came to church by 11:48am. We usually commence by service by 8am.
My brothers and sisters, the choir was asked to sing till they arrived. Moment of praise for over two hours. We were all angry and tired. The Pastor almost left. We called them tire.
Let's learn to be time conscious. There is time for everything.

Until the day you stop worshipping these your so called pastors more than God Almighty himself.

The day I discovered that Pastors collect Money to Officiate wedding was the the I offed.

Yet they will tell Choristers who are resting or busy on that Saturday Morning to come and sing for God. Instead of saying..."come and sing for the couple wedding".
And u dare not ask for money for your inconvenience. If the Choristers refuse, they will say you are disobeying the work of God. Next thing, they will start planning your suspension from church.

Note: Choristers Singing For Couples Wedding On A Saturday Is NOT work of God but work of Man (The Couple). Period.

Right now, am currently at home on a Sunday morning becos I dislike what the church has finally turned into.

And Yes...in 2011, I was practically sent out of the choir for refusing to pay N500 for coming late for choir practice. That was one of the happiest days of my life

A pastor took his time to arrange a wedding ceremony for you at the church and yet you delayed on the agreed time and now you are crying.

Get another pastor or go to another church that can condone your irresponsibility.
