Okeke on Facebook have taken it upon herself to openly woo a guy she is crushing on a popular Facebook group, "No Chills in Naija" this happened days after a popular activist, Aisha Yusuf who came to limelight during the controversial ENDSARS protest encouraged ladies to ask any man they like out.
She told the ladies not to be shy and lose their possible husbands. A lot of ladies have become very courageous to woo any man they like on social media while making it look as if they are having fun.
Prisy N. Okeke, is from the Eastern part of Nigeria where it is believed that husbands are scarce, and it seems every lady from that part of the country is in a competition with either her friends and siblings about who will marry first.
Prisy N. Okeke wanted no time in shooting her shot when she probably knew that the guy in question was online. She wrote
" There's a man in this group I have been crushing on, I can't keep it to myself any more. I am not a feminist. Malachy Odo II please, will you be my man?"
This sparked a lot of debates online as some people were applauding her for coming out to say her mind while others disagree with her decision.
In Africa, this act of wooing a man directly as a lady is not common as many people will consider you cheap. Women are taught to be modest, shamefaced and obedient in all things.
