Congratulations to all of them and their families. This means nothing to the ordinary Nigerians and these Nigerian people who head these international agencies most certainly have dual citizenship and do not owe any form of allegiance to Nigeria and/or it's people. Do not get me wrong, it is inspirational as it shows you can be anything you set your sights upon however these appointments will not necessarily translate into better living standards for the average Nigerian and that is what we must primarily concern ourselves with. |

potent5: Are you just saying this because you hate Buhari or you are truly not aware that Buhari nominated Okonjo Iweala? In fact, he withdrew Nigeria’s initial candidate for the job and replaced him with Okonjo Iweala. https://www.nairaland.com/5904097/president-buhari-nominates-okonjo-iweala-world#90318980 1 Like |

Emyzoloye5: If he did not replace Nigeria's former candidate with Okonjo-Iwealla, she will not be there today. Also if Buhari did not fight off US when US was trying to forcefully pull out Akinwunmi the ADB President, he will not be there today. Buhari made their current positions possible. However, this does not remove the fact that Buhari is the promoter and sponsor of the serial killers called Fulani herdsmen and all promoters of killers will die miserably |

TheAviator:As much as I don't like Buhari, saying he didn't contribute to the emergence of Iweala and Adesina doesn't make sense. If he didn't nominate her, would she have emerged as the Director General? even in 2015, Buhari had to send Atiku to visit African leaders to get them to support Akinwumi Adesina. I doubt if Ngozi and co cav ever say they didn't get the support of the President But then our people have allowed hatred cloud their ways of reasoning 1 Like 1 Share |

Keemsleek005: Of Buhari nominated yaya bello will his CV pass first screening? Yes he nominated her but you only nominate your best that can win on the global level and that's where CV comes in. Why didn't Buhari nominate current minister of finance? Is simple she wouldn't have measured even though she's trying at our level. Forget Buhari if he had a qualified relative he wouldn't have remembered Iweala |
