Passengers Transported With Wheelbarrows At Rumuokoro Flyover In Port Harcourt by BloggerAdmin(op): 10:41pm On Feb 22, 2021
Following the continued closure of the Okoro-Nu-Odu (Rumuokoro) flyover in Port Harcourt weeks after its completion, commuters now resort to being pushed on carts and wheelbarrows for as much as N100.

This is because of the over 1km distance that is open for trekking only. So if you feel weak and can't walk, some hustlers (mostly Abokis) are available to ride you on their wheelbarrows for N50 and N100, depending on how far they ferry you.

It will interest you to note that the flyover has been completed since early January 2021, but remains closed from motorists as it has not yet been commissioned by Governor Wike.

Maybe this is why Gov. Wike is going round the country, shopping for the best pocketable-politician that will come and cut the ribbon and receive a cash gift of 100million Naira
grin grin undecided

Absurd.

Why would anyone(at all) wish to be transported or 'carried' around in a wheelbarrow? sad

The bridge is long, but what makes the trekking very long is the barricaded distance from vehicular movement

Thank you Nairaland for bring this here. The beautiful flyover is since completed but for primordial reasons best known to Wike it's still not commissioned possibly to inflict pain to d largely Igbo traders who rumour has it pelted the gov sachet water and hauled insults on him during one of his visit there

Those guys in the wheelbarrow are friends who are using the wheelbarrow for their business where one of them decide to enter the wheelbarrow, stop making it look like it is a form of transport.
