Because of a stupid commissioning. Or is that bridge built with anyone's personal money. Indeed I have seen an evil under the sun. Those who pay for public works trekking and fainting while those who profit from it and personify government having their egos massaged...hopeless nation, hapless citizens. When the governor finally arrives they will still hail his imperial majesty and spread their garments on the bridge for him to drive over. After all it is the season of royal entries.

It will interest you to note that the flyover has been completed since early January 2021, but remains closed from motorists as it has not yet been commissioned by Governor Wike.

Governor Wike has finished the flyover and has refused to open the lockdown in that area for over 3 months now. People are suffering. The trecking is another things. Before my eye. One woman wey Dey suffer from elephantiasis. She treck so tee the leg started dropping water and pulse. I no fit pity the woman. People called barrow for her. This is wickedness. There is no one in rivers to talk to Wike. Shameless rivers people. They are all licking his ass for money. People has been out of business for almost 4 month and Wike said they have never seen anything. Tyranny.

Following the continued closure of the Okoro-Nu-Odu (Rumuokoro) flyover in Port Harcourt weeks after its completion, commuters now resort to being pushed on carts and wheelbarrows for as much as N100.

This is because of the over 1km distance that is open for trekking only. So if you feel weak and can't walk, some hustlers (mostly Abokis) are available to ride you on their wheelbarrows for N50 and N100, depending on how far they ferry you.

It will interest you to note that the flyover has been completed since early January 2021, but remains closed from motorists as it has not yet been commissioned by Governor Wike.

THE BRIDGE TOO FAR... if you know you know

I blame the mumu Ikwerre youths who worship this man. If A thousand of them come out and break the barricades he put on that flyover, can Wike talk?

They just worship his idiocy.

One must commend the northerners for their industrious approach, if at all this is true.

How can the oil capital look like that? People being pushed in wheelbarrows?

Wike should create an enabling environment for job creation in the state. The rate of unemployment and youths idleness in that state is terrible, despite being an oil state with huge federal allocation and IGR

Those guys in the wheelbarrow are friends who are using the wheelbarrow for their business where one of them decide to enter the wheelbarrow, stop making it look like it is a form of transport.

Repeat what you just typed, aloud.

So that fat woman tying a wrapper is a friend of the wheelbarrow pusher, and he doesn't have anywhere to be, he and his friends doing the job of pushing at the same time? They just want to push friends up and down the place?

Thank you Nairaland for bring this here. The beautiful flyover is since completed but for primordial reasons best known to Wike it's still not commissioned possibly to inflict pain to d largely Igbo traders who rumour has it pelted the gov sachet water and hauled insults on him during one of his visit there

What Igbo traders?
Why are you always playing victim?
That we Ikwerres don't identify as Igbos does not mean they are no indegenous Igbo communities in Rivers State,Ndoni,Egbema,Ndoki,Omuma and Etche are all large indegenous Igbo communities in Rivers State, so how will Wike want to inflict pain on people who are also indegenous to the state he governs?
