I wish I knew how to read the candles and draw all the fancy lines but I don’t. I rely solely on the fundamentals of the coin to invest and it hasn’t been a bad decision!

Currently holding

ADA, REEF, ETH, SXP, BNB, AKT, AGI, DOT and KEX. I skimmed profits just before the dip; I sensed it would happen and it ended up being the right move. Bought ADA and SXP last night and already seeing some upward movement.

Stop limit price is like the guard/protector to the actul price you intend to sell

While limit price is the actual price you want to sell

For example, a coin is pumping you and intent to sell incase there is sudden drop, if the numbers are reading on say 0.0643 you can set your stop limit price on 0.0640 and your limit price on 0.0639 so if the price drops to 0.0640 your limit price will be executed which is 0.0639

Note: limit price must be lower than stop limit price

I really don't understand the trolling about the bull run and bear run thing. If you are into crypto or other forms of trading, you should know it happens so what is the whole guru during bull run and motivational speaker during bear run thing about? It sounds childish to me and it does not add any value to the thread. I guess you trolls must be billionaires then since you are giving the impression that you are above the market or you have been hit hard by btc dip and this is how you cope. Bear run doesn't mean money can not be made. I am not claiming expert but I have spent much time observing even during the last bearish season, I still made profits sometimes about x2 or x3. Everyone knows the crypto market is highly volatile

It easier to predict the long term price of a coin than to predict it short term price.

Technical analysis still has a place in timing entry and exit, but you are right - Crypto is.mostly run on Fundamentals

Alot of coins (mainly micros) look ready and are already reclaiming lost levels..

Reason is simple... Eith is rallying against betece. Up 3.5% in last 24hrs. Has formed what looks like an inverted 'neck and shoulder' which is usually a reversal pattern.

Also, betece is being tamed and is looking less volatile.
We may see what happened in January repeat itself... This is usually where monet from betece flows into alyts

We may still have a dip into support levels tested yesterday but I expect it to be brief... Once that level holds, alyts should start rallying towards evening...

Just like Fushionchimera pointed with bnb, targets are simple... Previous highs at the first instance...

On whay to buy if a dip holds, look for those that have held levels... quite a number did (still sticking with my prev list...xrp collaped though)

P.s, openheaven has mentioned ksm (2nd chart) before... I just noticed it hardly flinched during this deep...also its a relatively new coin (they seem to rally well). I don't have any yet, but it'd be an interesting one to watch. Set my alerts at 280 to monitor a breakout... Might pick up some then.

Truthfully, you dont need to... It might just give you an edge.
All charts do is show price action whoch is largely based on market fundamentals and human emotions. We know humans will always act similarly under same conditions, hence why some can patterns can be recognised, repeated and tradable.

The most trusted principles are still the basic ones... And they cut across all markets.... Buy low, sell high. Avoid being greedy, plan your trade and stick to it...e.t.c... You don't need charts for those and it's where majority fail at.

Hmmmmm........I totally agree with you on this!!! Everyone here can confidently say BNB will one day be trading at $500 per coin or even more. But why are we not thinking about that.
Because we are so glue to trying to predict it short term price for quicker profit, in the end we end up not predicting anything.....Lol...... The human brain really likes to turn simple thing into complex things.

Charts aren't useless.

People expect it to tell them what betece will do in the next minute which is impossible. Only God knows exactly what a market absolutely do in future.

Price action is king and that is quite unpredictable. What charts do is show us how people react to similar price movements in the past. And we see that's a repeatable pattern.
And the repeatability can be quite striking as coins move and stop at certain levels for a reason.

I trade higher time frames and understanding basic candle patterns have really helped my trade. For me, entry and risk management are everything
For example, I rely strictly on charts to know when to put in fresg cash into the market. I've not put in fresh cash since late December on January and so far its helped me... When we get a deep enough dip, I'd deploy some fresh cash... For now, I'm willing to compund what I have in there already.

I got 50000 at 40$ just when said Lemmy get $100 more doing the dump ,it was only 40,000+ coi.n I received
