If you cannot steal, you do not have any business in government work if your aim is for a high paying job.
Just build yourself and your profile for the private sector jeje

If u want to face reality.. Bsc holders working with the FG earn starting salary of maybe 70k..even my drivers that deliver my tokunbo cars(not everyday o) earn more than that...
And this is supposed to be a good job.. How do u survive with 70k..ill rather make 40k on my own with the prospect of growth

And we know where those "daily money" he makes beside his actual pay come from. And hes not even out of school yet. Only God can save this country.

You are yet to complete your tertiary education and you are earning good pay in a job you probably got through connection and you are complaining.

Is the job for waec holders? Which waec holder or even OND holder will earn good pay?

Forget about the married women cheating....we already know!

If you think the job is not worth it because of the tideousness, then try idleness. That is when you'll appreciate your job even if it requires you working round the clock. You don't know how good a thing is until you lose it.

Talking about ladies who are not married because of the job. Who says marriage is better than having job that pays your every bill and gives you a good life? for all you Know, there are many women who wish to leave their marriage and get a job just to have a good life.

Don't deceive yourself, govt job is still the best because it's secured you get retirement benefits at the end of it. And you won't struggle to collect your pension. I'm speaking from experience because my dad never struggled during his pension days.

To each it's own though..

He didn't say idleness, he said establishing or owning his own business to become self employed and fulfilled doing what he loves to do and be financially independent.

I gat your point but I've a special hatred for motivational speakers.

Heavy is the head - remember undecided - don't sit behind ur keyboard nd try to "motivate" me with funny lines..... I alone know where the shoes hurt, and I'm the one going through this shit nd not you, don't think I got this job by "mere luck", I went through a-whole-fvcking-lot and I don't regret wasting my time on this job.....enough said bruv wink
After listening to 100's of hours of motivational speech and seminars, the only thing I ever learnt from motivational speakers was that I had to pick up books and read/study to improve at my work place.

Reading of book was my original Number ONE problem before and nobody is helping me to read the book!
So they didn't help me AT ALL.

This is the reason I prefer private sector than govt jobs. People who aim for high paying jobs remain in the private sector, sure govt jobs have security but the pay is just for an average life and with the level of inflation in Nigeria, the money do not go anywhere. Most guys who earn big in govt job are mostly top level executives or they are getting illegal money.
I know someone in a govt job who was earning above 300k, a doctor. His brother was in the private sector earning 1.2m monthly. The guy is just getting a wide range of job experience and work exposure, certifications and he job hops. He currently earns more than that.
Re: Government Work Is Not Worth It After All by IamDavid(m): 10:33am On Feb 24, 2021
Error of hasty generalization. No matter how hard you criticise, government job is still that old school stable source of income. Sack is rare, pay is sure, even if they owe you they will still pay las las. Well, I'm hopeful for a govt job with a reasonable pay and promotion schedule, and the opportunity to practice my profession and businesses along side. This is what my role models do and they're living so fine. btw, some government jobs pay over 500k. Imagine having that and same for one's spouse. That's my Nigerian plan. Else, na to japa.

There's 2 kinds of people in Nigeria.
Those who work with the Government and those who work against the government.
Unfortunately, those who work with the government are insulted and humiliated by THE GOVERNMENT itself.
But does that mean they shouldn't work for the government again?
My parents worked for the federal government.
And exactly what you said, is what happened in their office.
They will order for Typewriters and other office and school equipment from the head office of Government. The staff will do their duty to steal the equipment.
I'm sorry, but my dad sacked all and sent away all those who engaged in stealing and cheating.
Today, he lives in his house collecting his pension with clear conscience.
He may not have liked how Buhari and other presidents messed up the country, but he's sha chilling with 100% clear conscience in his house.
All his mates or juniours who cheated and stole, are dead or waiting to die. They have nothing to show for the miserable equipment they stole.

Go to oil companies and see WAEC holders earning between 150 and 450k. Its your skills that count, not your school papers. Thats why China is doing better than the rest of the world in everything.

You are working for a State agency..... and concluded that what goes on in your agency is what happens in all government agencies. What are your hours of work that can drive one crazy? .... and not have time for oneself or loved ones? You had to go through a lot to get the job...... that suggests you came through the back door. Makes me believe the job is sooo difficult because you are not qualified. You're being paid every month..... late becomes normal... accept the new normal. In many agencies people do not know if and when they are paid. If the agreement was pay on the last Friday of the month.... but instead you are paid on the second Wednesday of the month.... the pay date has changed.... why lament? Name your agency.... job title.... quit.

One man's poison is another man's meat.
