I work in a state govt agency, the pay is good but the work can drive one insane. No time for yourself or your love ones, 80 percent of female in my agency are single due to the work.

Let no one deceive you, 80% of female civil servant are single, the married ones ain't faithful.....I pity those men that married those female in my dept cry
I do make money in a day (normal civil servants level wink), but the pain is when they pay sad imagine gettting paid the 2nd-3rd week of the next month instead of d prev month end.....right now I've not been paid, although I do make "small money" at work but I want my fvcking pay.

So, if I retire na like this I go dey fight for my money undecided.....olorun maje, tufiakwa.

My plan is to finish my uni and focus on building my biz, bcus govt wrk ain't it.....you'll just spend waste 35yrs of your life doing shit for the govt.

I pray God grants my heart desires and guide me through the right path of life.

You are yet to complete your tertiary education and you are earning good pay in a job you probably got through connection and you are complaining.

Is the job for waec holders? Which waec holder or even OND holder will earn good pay?

Forget about the married women cheating....we already know!

If I may ask, how was life like during the lockdown for you last year? Were you grateful that you were working with the government or you feel otherwise?

What kind of work are you doing with the state government? Can you tell us?

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade is a proverbial phrase used to encourage optimism and a positive can-do attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. Lemons suggest sourness or difficulty in life; making lemonade is turning them into something positive or desirable

Some out there share your viewpoints too but reality tells me they hardly let go of government jobs even at LGDA level paapaa grin cheesy

Can't tell you my work, as that will reveal my agency wink

I was paid during lockdown for doing nothing

That is not the answer to the question asked. The question was, how was life like during the lockdown for you last year?

Can't tell you my work, as that will reveal my agency

Fine, do not bother revealing it. I understand that quite well.

cheesy funny guy.

Life was cool. Mingled with friends and fams. Grow my contacts and tried my hands on things I loved doing before I got that job, watch movies and had good resting hours.

Regretted when lockdown was lifted sad currently seeing myself doing less of what I "really" wanna do.

I myself do not see my words as MOTIVATIONAL. It is my perspective on the words used earlier by you.......nobi every orange sweet.........I am only following up your words.

I went through a-whole-fvcking-lot and I don't regret wasting my time on this job.......

The above indeed is enough said. Thank you.

If you think the job is not worth it because of the tideousness, then try idleness. That is when you'll appreciate your job even if it requires you working round the clock. You don't know how good a thing is until you lose it.

Talking about ladies who are not married because of the job. Who says marriage is better than having job that pays your every bill and gives you a good life? for all you Know, there are many women who wish to leave their marriage and get a job just to have a good life.

Don't deceive yourself, govt job is still the best because it's secured you get retirement benefits at the end of it. And you won't struggle to collect your pension. I'm speaking from experience because my dad never struggled during his pension days.

To each it's own though..

If you are paid 2nd week of the month it is still within a 30days cycle.

Its about mentality. Just see it like ur pay pay comes every 2nd week.

This is exactly the opposite of how it is done in Lagos State.
Lagos State Civil servants get paid before the end of each month and they have never been owed for many many years now.
They run their thing just like the Federal Civil Service.

One of the thousand reasons Lagos remains the best state in Nigeria.
