As for me the only depression am facing right now is the fact that am above 28 yrs old, I don't have a job no money and I still live under my father's house...

You quoted me with my second thought, I also suspected some diseases could have driven him into depression particularly HIV and he couldn’t share with anyone.

In this day and age, HIV is just like any chronic disease out there. Diabetes is even worse than HIV.

Social media is a silent killer

Still doesn't make any sense to me what time was the post, if it is the same morning he was found dead then it is absolutely rubbish. Most suicidal fellows want to go alone and if possible without a trace, to take a victim,especially one you claim to love along looks like double murder to me, except their is evidence to show it is a dual suicide then we can play the Romeo and Juliet scenario.

A close look at him shows me that he was trying too hard to be what he is NOT. Trying to belong where he does not belong. That was the biggest source of his "Depression".

People, especially young men and women should accept themselves the way they are. There is too much fake lifestyle in Nigeria.

Our society never knew 'depression' before. What we recognise is POVERTY.

This requires thorough scrutiny

If the suicide note came from him definitely he was into ritual and he's bn tormented.

I have been battling this dreaded disease (depression) that no one truely cares to know about in this part of the world, but I will never take my life just for one reason only.

I battled depression in 2017/2018, I contemplated suicide but I had to fight it. Today am free and happy

I was depressed in 2012 and up till today I don't know what caused it. I didn't want to tell anyone about it, I didn't know why either. Since then, each time someone commits suicide and people blame them, I just say to myself " you never know what they were going through". That thing is unexplainable, until you taste it yourself. It was during this period I started drinking "small small" and surprisingly, the feeling eventually disappeared.

Nigerians honestly don't know what depression is, small sadness they will start saying I am depressed, this is a real example of depression, you feel anger pain and self hate for no reason, even when you are satisfied at the moment it still makes you feel so inferior.
