Weldone boss. Farmers rule this time in the southern nigeria.

Let the State Ministry of Agric make land available all youths interested in farming. Our markets must be flooded with the food stuffs in the next few months.

Meanwhile, the state government should make available warehouses for state sponsored-imports of foods from the neighboring countries with special dispensations with relevant agencies.

Lol, do you know how many trailers full of food come to the south every week from the north?
Hundreds of trailers with a different type of foodstuffs loaded.

South can not produce food in commercial quantity, the precipitation and humidity are not favourable to the production of some kind of foodstuff, the soil factor is also not encouraging.

We need the north for foodstuff forget about all the mouth we are making upandan we are just trying to be brave so that the north will think we don't need them, but we do!!

Lol, did you at all study agricultural science in secondary school? have you been to farms in the north?

for your information, it is the SANDY soil we used in playing football here that they use for agriculture over there. They use human and cow shits plus conc gutter dirt as fertilizers to farm.

Truth be told, in terms of agriculture, North got nothing on Southern Nigeria. All their foods can be grown here, even cattle can survive here forget the fake tsetse flies bullshits.

North should please divert their produce to Cameroon and Niger.

Had it been you study agriculture or at least have little knowledge of geography then you wouldn't have to argue with me.

Too much rainfall result to little or no farm products.

Do you know that tomatoes, peppers, and other fruit vegetables doesn't require too much rain if possible no rain at all? That's why you will see more green houses here in south than north because the greenhouse provides a favourable condition for the farm products like the north. But the farm products cannot be produced in commercial quantities in the greenhouse.

Let's not deceive ourselves south is only good for the production of roots and tubers and plantation crop.

You made me laugh with this. infact that claim made me asked you which of them can not be grown in the South.

I'm a MECHANIZED farmer investor. This same pepper and tomatoes are grown in my farm, LARGE QUANTITY.

All these you put up is from your head, it's not a reality. You may be talking about costal side like bayelsa(for pepper and tomatoes).

Lemme bust your bubble, I'M AN AGRICULTURIST. That's my discipline.

I REPEAT, THERE'S NO FOOD CROP THAN CANNOT NE GROWN IN THE SOUTH. IT'LL EVEN DO WELL IN SOUTH THAN IN NORTH

This loans will enable the youths to grow food as the farming season starts.

He urged private individuals to invest in Agriculture so as to ensure food security.
Speaking in Portharcourt Rivers State he urge our Youths to embrace farming and stop seeing farming as poor man's Job.

Most of the yams we eat in the South are grown here. I want to use Delta state as an example, my dad runs a transport business for those going to food market and from experience I can confidently tell you that 80% of yam and potato we consume in Delta is from Isoko area where the abokis go to buy cheaply and sell at outrageous prices like the ones they bring from the North.

Bro I'm setting up a 25 acres farm. Lend a hand biko. My financial resources are lean but I keep working and putting all I can lay hand hands on bi weekly. It is expected to be fully setup by April ending. You know the cost for payloader and bulldozer to clear is high

I am begging. I am seeking just 300,000 Naira. I earn roughly 100k weekly and I put all to this project. Please help a brother stand well biko

I have been staying close to the forest for 1 year now. Many young farmers are willing but the coming together in the south to push funds is the problem

The engineering knowledge to cultivate round the year is there, along all sorts of complex understanding and skill for the terrain. The challenge is simply finance. If people partner with farmers they will see the results.

You can't compare to the number of yams we in the north plant alone in one planting season.

So you can't count also? Man, your case complex.

I grew in a village where we grow yams. I can say you are correct.

Only people in cities don't know where most of their yams come from. Middle Belt and the South produce our yams, gari from cassava, and allied produce.

Instead of using his position to press/ agitate for resource control he is begging to be given what is rightfully his..
This one, if he ever become president of nigeria he'll keep begging the north for permission to feed his own people.

Actually, you're the real efulefu!!!

Mynd44 this should make frontpage not only northern propaganda.

Now tell me how this man would grow hungry, before the talked about mechanised farming arrives, if every southerner has a garden just in his house and do this, food would be surplus.

As an Edo Man, i have yam/plantain in my garden, i have cassava for garri when i want

Paw paw/pumpkin/vegetables are in my garden

I only eat my local rice (Ekpoma rice) Edo has enough corn, palm oil, coconut, banana within town

Ogbolo, egusi, okro, banga are all in my town

I rare my chickens in addition to the fish and turkey for meat

The fruit and vegetation is relatively easy but keeping poultry alive in this climate can be challenging. Any tips?

Mad and confused peopel,
how can Ikwerre man claim to be the president of Igbo's youths in Disapora? some of from Portharcourt Rivers State. when did Ikwere people become an Igbo, Igbo's has reject Ikwere's so next time check well.

As for government to give loan to farmers as south, i don't see that happens because all the governors are slave to fulanis, who's come to destroy southerns farms with hope of blocking foods going to south, when southerns complain of their destruction's.

Destroction of farm lands at Souths by northerners is well calculated act, they destroyed your farm, give you mopney to buy food from north, meaning your not good to get your food from your farm and use the money generated from the farm for another projects.

Norths must leave south
