Well... maybe not exactly a wilderness as those depicted in the Bible, but it was the closest I could get to that at the time. It was a large uninhabited and uncultivated area (bush) somewhere in the outskirts of Abuja, where I intended to get that final push I needed to begin to live the kind of life I dreamed for God.

It was the kind of life the prophets and apostles and even Christ lived on Earth in those days, where they were dead to the things of this world but fully alive to the things of the Spirit and the Kingdom of God.

I already had the orientation they had and was truly willing, but my flesh was weak hence i lacked the strength, might or power to follow it through. I kept looking out of the window and wondering when I would be able to do likewise and finally begin to live the life of my dreams, as what I saw all around me seemed completely opposed to the kind of life I dearly craved.

The present day church didn't even help matters much as it was a far cry from the kind I knew and desired to part of, even that which I had seen in the acts of the apostles where it was all about God.

I'd already made some sacrificial decisions and forsaken everything for the sake of the Kingdom of God even as the disciples had done, to prove how determined I was, so I was already on the right course, but it was just that final boost to completely escape the gravitational field of the flesh I was yet lacking.

After waiting and hoping for a while without making any significant progress, i decided to take a drastic step, and embark on a forty day and forty nights fast without food or water in a bushy area not very far from where I lived.

I think the inspiration behind this course of action, were the examples of those who were said to have observed such a fast in the Bible, combined with the wilderness experience, which appeared to be the final preparation point for some before the commencement of their ministries. For instance, John the baptist and even Master Jesus, who were said to have been in the wilderness fasting for a while before the commencement of their ministries. Hence I decided to also give it a shot.

My prayer then to God was "Use Me Or I Die!" So if I made it out alive, it would mean that I had achieved the purpose of going there, which was to begin to live the life of my dreams where it was all about God and nothing else.

Hence my mind was already made up, and a date had been set for this very purpose which was the 10th of December, 2002. So when the day finally came, I began to make my way up towards the wilderness as I had planned.

When I got there and found a suitable place, I lay down on the floor.

Something I noticed though was that I already began to feel hungry and thirsty, and this was just about 10am in the morning, lol.

So was I sure this idea was not a big mistake and should I consider returning home now that I haven't gone that deep into it?

Because my plan was a forty-day dry fast, and here was I already feeling hungry, thirsty and quite weak just hours into the fast.

"Do I really think i have any chances of making it at all?"

Such were the kinds of thoughts that flooded my mind when the reality of what I was getting myself into suddenly and really began to dawn on me, after I had arrived at the place I intended to spend the next forty days and forty night waiting upon the Lord without taking food or water.

Meanwhile though, i laid down on the bare floor and I think slept for a while, before the scorching heat of sun forced me to seek a more appropriate place that could shade me from it full glare.

I got somewhere under a big tree, where I stayed perhaps for a while before eventually making a temporary shelter of sticks and branches from a tree close by. I also made a temporary bed from leaves I got nearby.

When i went inside and lay down, it made some sense, as the leaves provided some good shade and cooling effect, so it felt much better and cooler inside compared to the outside.

I wasn't with a watch or phone so it was quite hard for me to track the time, but that was where I was when it became dark. I can't really tell when I slept on that first night, but I sensed it was very late because it was difficult for me to sleep that night.

Perhaps it was because I was fasting added to the harsh conditions under which I was doing so, which now included the mosquitoes that had come with full force, as if they had been expecting a visitor for a while.

I eventually managed to fall asleep, but it wasn't for long though, as after I woke up, i could still remember that it took a long while before the day broke. As i kept waiting and waiting and waiting for the day to begin to dawn but it yet remained dark. It was the early morning call to prayer of the Muslims that actually gave me a clue as to what the time could be after I had waited for a while.

But regardless long it took, it was only a matter of time, hence not long afterwards I could begin to see the light in the sky. So even though my plan seemed a mission impossible, i had at least passed my first night of fasting out in the wilderness.

Day 2 in the wilderness started much better than the how day 1 ended as I felt much better and stronger, though it was freezing cold because it was during the harmattan season. I couldn't feel both my arms and feet, they were completely numb and very cold. So it was now the extreme opposite of what it felt like during the day time when the heat was scorching.

But aside that, I felt much better and energetic at the beginning of the day, and I used the opportunity to get more branches and leaves to replace the already dried ones both for my temporary shelter and bed.

So everything else apart more or less seemed to be going according to plan in the morning, until the sun came out and tumbled everything upside down with its heat. It dried up the leaves i used for the shelter that they were dropping like flies, leaving the shelter exposed hence rubbishing all my efforts in a short space of time.

The heat did help to unfreeze my numb arms and feet though despite compounding the discomfort I already felt with the fast. I could remember having to use my urine to cool my stomach, so my urine which ought to be a waste now became useful to me, as I couldn't afford to waste it.

It gave me a clue as to why the rich man in hell would ask for just a drop of water to cool his tongue because of the heat he felt from the flame, as I could feel the difference my urine made to cool my stomach a bit in the scorching heat of the sun.

The heat made life in the wilderness really complicated, as it made me to have to keep switching positions from one place to another to just keep away from its burning path. And although the freezing cold in the night wasn't welcomed either, it was the lesser of the two evils.

However i managed to survive that day, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next in the wilderness to my greatest surprise, but with every passing day it became much more difficult, as I kept getting weaker and weaker.

Worst still, my joints at my upper arms which were already sprained at some point now became much worse, that I could no longer use them again.

So my arms which had proven very useful and crucial to me up til this point, had now been taken out of the equation.

Moreover on one of those nights in the wilderness, while lying down in the temporary shelter, I heard the foot sound of an animal and saw it put its head into the entrance, but once it saw me it immediately left. I couldn't really tell what animal it was since it was really dark, but it seemed like a wild dog, though I'm not so sure about that.

To be Continued.

Liexperiences from a well-known source of false teaching.

..as though fasting is an element of salvation.

An open snare for the weak one.

The same thing the Pharisees did.

Proud, and wanted to be noticed; overly righteous and preachers of doom.

What else do you expect from sb calling himself Jesus Junior?

Am I surprised?

No.

Jesus foretold these types of people would come.

On the day 8 in the wilderness, even though I was totally weak and the joints of my upper arms were badly sprained, I had somehow, against all odds, managed to still use them to get some leaves to cover the shelter for the day. But on the day 9, I couldn't manage them hence anymore, so I just sat under the huge tree close by, hoping for the best because my shelter was now completely exposed, and hence no longer of any use to me.

Then while I was sitting there under the tree, a giant soldier ant stung me.

Now this was the first time such had happened since the first day i arrived there in the "wilderness", even though I had been sleeping on the floor for the past eight days. I even remember that scorpions were very common in that area, so it even surprises me now how I didn't even consider that at the time.

But apart from the mosquitoes that had a field time feasting on my body and didn't allow me to hear word, nothing else touched me all through till that point.

It appeared to give me a signal that my time in the wilderness was up, hence that it was time for me to leave that place.

Though I wasn't completely sure about that, i thought that even if I would leave, I should at least make it to day 10 in the wilderness before doing so. But at that point I had become completely helpless, as the decision appeared to have been taken out of my hands. Hence i kept pondering on the next course of action to take.

The scorching heat of the sun didn't make things any easier as it made me to have to relocate from that position under that tree to another big tree somewhere further down.

I think it was there I discovered a stream, which I thought was a very welcome development considering the heat I was feeling, so i decided to use that opportunity to take a dip and freshen up my self a bit. It made a bit of difference but not that much.

Although the plan I think was to go back after that and continue from where I stopped, that was perhaps at that point that I finally decided to start heading back home, because I felt that even though I hadn't been able to make it to the forty days I initially planned, that I had achieved the purpose for which I came to the wilderness, which was to get that spur I needed to live the life of the Spirit and of the Kingdom of God where it was all about God on Earth, as I was now feeling spiritually fit and ready to go.

Re: What Happened To Me When I Attempted A Forty-day Dry Fast In The Wilderness by jesusjnr2020(m): 7:44am On Mar 04, 2021
Hence I began making my way back home in the evening, I guess between 4 and 5pm considering the look and feel of the weather, but I felt very weak and totally exhausted. I couldn't walk for long. If I walked short distance I'd feel like passing out, so I would have to rest for a long while before I would be able to continue.

I then got to a stream where I saw people fetching water, I think it was linked to the other stream I had taken a dip, but this one was closer to where people lived and looked cleaner even though it quite greenish.

I took a dip again but this time i went further and drank from the same greenish water. That was the first time in nine days that anything whatsoever had gotten into my mouth. And although the water was not clean and tasted really horrible, that was the least of my worries at that particular point. All I just needed was to take in some water to pacify my thirst, and that was just what I did.

After that the journey home really started. I was still very weak and still having to take a rest for every few steps I took though, so the water I had taken in made little difference but it was still better than nothing.

It was at this point that I made a decision that would completely alter the smoothness of my journey back home. I chose to take the shortcut I came to the wilderness with instead of the longer route. At the point I made this decision, it wasn't yet dark even though the sun had begun to set, so i could still see my way through. That perhaps influenced my decision to follow the short cut which was a bush path.

But shortly after that it became dark, and I missed my way, so it became really complicated for me. I kept moving forward though using the lights I could see afar off from the hilly place I was as a guide, but then I fell into a big ditch.

Now, it was really dark so I couldn't really tell the kind of ditch or how big it was, but I was able to tell that it had a bed of grasses when I landed on it. That was perhaps what deceived me. This was arguably the biggest obstacle I had to surmount in my wilderness experience.

It was really, really tough for me as all the efforts I made to come out appeared not to be yielding any fruit. Worst still I had little or no strength left so any effort I made to come out, left me even more drained than I already was.

I kept trying though, and after trying for a while, I would rest and I think I also slept for a while in that ditch. It seemed every attempt I made though took me a step further. That was how I kept trying, until I finally managed to get to the other end of the ditch and get a grip of the floor.

It wasn't easy and I think I tried severally to climb up but didn't succeed. But obviously the fact that I had been able to get close to where it was and touch it was a much welcomed development for me. It obviously inspired much hope in me that I would eventually be able to scale it.

And I did, as I used all last strength I had left in me to push myself over it, and even though it had been proven really difficult for me to surmount it, I was fully relieved when I finally did, because I was already beginning to lose hope that I would be able to come out of that ditch that night, after all efforts i had made to do so, seemed not to be showing any sign of progress.

I believe it was God that brought me out of that ditch that night though because it was really hard. I mean I thought I had reached my last bus stop at least for that night. I can't really tell how much worse it would have gotten, but thank God I was able to eventually able to come out of it on that same night.

In the process though it seems I lost most of my wears inside while i was struggling and fighting hard to come out of it. So i had entered into the ditch with my shirt, trousers and slippers, but come out without most of them, but It was quite understandable because while fighting hard to come out of it, the last thing that would have been on my mind were my cloths.

Although It felt really good to have surmounted such a stubborn obstacle after encountering so much difficulty, it left me even more drained than i already was. And I had completely lost track of the pathway that led to my house area, it was also very dark, so the journey back home was bound to take much longer than it ordinarily should.

The place I was at this point was kind of hilly and steep. I kept taking my time to climb down slowly but it was too stressful for me as I had no strength left. So I decided to roll down the hill. That is, I laid down and kept rolling down the hill as was done in the movies. I thought I had no choice at that point, so that was how I kept making progress down the hill until I came close enough to the place I could now walk down.

That left me with a few bruises on my body including my neck, but I had achieved what I wanted with it so it was worth it for me.

At this point though I was completely naked, that is every piece of clothing or wears I had left on me before and after the ditch experience were now gone. But I was now closer to a residential area which wasn't far from where I stayed, so my priority now was to get myself home, hence I kept moving regardless.

I came to a short fence which was not that far from the hill, and I was able to climb over it because it was quite low.

As I kept walking though, someone who saw me climb over the fence which demarcated the bushy area and hill from the residential area, obviously found that development quite strange, adding to the fact that I was completely naked among other things, called me and so I stopped.

And why he questioned me, other people staying close by were soon attracted to the scene, so before long I was surrounded by a small crowd of men, women, boys and girls despite that I had no clothes on.

But that seemed not to matter much neither to me nor to them probably because of the way I looked. I was able explain to them what really happened and surprisingly it didn't take them much time before they could understand and bear with me. They even brought some food for me to eat, rice and purewater as well. Someone among them also gave me some clothes to put on.

After I had finished eating and left them, the same person who gave me the clothes escorted me and gave me a hand because he was also going somewhere in my direction. When I got to a point that led to my place, I indicated to him that I had reached the area that led to my place, so he had to leave me and continued moving straight in the direction he was heading while I had to take a left turn towards mine.

Finally i was close to my home but as I was heading there i passed out as usual and lay on the floor for a while, perhaps for one final time. After I woke up, I began to take the final steps up towards my home at about 10pm the night, so the area was quite dry.

After i got the compound, it was just the gate man i saw, everyone else was inside their own houses, so it was easier for me to just into my house without much drama, even though those at my own home were shocked to their bone marrows at the sight of me.

For the first time since I was a little kid I didn't bath myself, a family friend of mine who was around did. Although I already knew from the other parts of my body how bony I was, when I saw my face in the mirror, I was shocked. It looked just like a skull with just skin and no flesh, hence I came to understand even better the shock that greeted those who knew me beforehand when they first saw me.

So I was finally back home after nine days out in the "wilderness" fasting, but it was glaring that the person that left the house wasn't the person that returned. It was a different me, even the kind of me that I desired to be before I left home and embarked on that journey. Hence the purpose of my leaving home and going into the wilderness fasting had been accomplished.

It was this experience that gave me the boldness to begin to preach on the streets of Abuja at the time which I had shared here on the following thread.

https://www.nairaland.com/6203578/day-faced-police-brutality-preaching

So I had now began to fully live the kind life I dreamed about, even the life of the Spirit where it was all about God.

God bless.

After this fasting experience in the "wilderness", i found it impossible for me to even fast for 3 days dry. I could only do a 2 days dry for a long time until recently, even when I set out to do it for 3 days.

And this was under much suitable and convenient conditions, which showed that it was only God that had made it possible for me to be able to go for 8 full days or even 9 without taking food or water under those extreme conditions in the "wilderness.

Hence it wasn't by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God that I was able to accomplish that feat.

I also believe that it was also by the Spirit of God that those in the Bible days who were able to fast for forty days without water or food were able to do so.

God bless.

Modified:

I had no choice but to modify this post because I thought it sufficed to say that after my fasting experience in the wilderness, I was able to achieve the greatest ever feat any man could achieve or has ever achieved on this Earth, which was to walk at the level of the Spirit where it was all about God, but alas, I was very wrong because many Christians could not even comprehend what that meant.

Some were even mocking that I had achieved absolutely nothing but just coming out naked and bony lol! Another even said that my fasting experience had no spiritual significance despite my clearly stating that spiritual achievement, hence I thought it was necessary that I took my time to expound on what walking at the level of the Spirit where it was all about God meant to God and also its benefits.

When I made to decision to begin walk at that level of the Spirit where it was all about God, which that fasting experience in the wilderness helped me achieve, I was just trying to love God, I believed He deserved that. But I didn't know that I was asking for serious trouble, because although God deserved such kind of love, God hardly gets what He deserves despite having many who claim to be His servants, for they're not willing to give Him everything which He deserves but just whatever they liked.

So when God began to unleash blessings on me afterwards, I mean, it was quite scary. God had no reservations when He was blessing and rewarding me.

He had once said to me at the time, "I would show you, I would embarrass you" because of what I did for Him, so with all the blessings He began bombarding me with later on, He was just keeping true to His Word.

Wisdom

God blessed me with excess wisdom, many here in Nairaland have attested to that. It has been used to the confounding of several atheists here to the point that they couldn't gainsay or resist even as Jesus had said to His disciples. Luke 21:15.

But even that rare level yet appeared to have assumed a different dimension last year when I was told that my time had come. There could be a connection between the rare degree of wisdom God has blessed me with and one name God calls me which is "Solomon".

Revelations

God blessed me with an abundance of revelations, it made me write over thirty unpublished books with over thirty more pending. Even in Nairaland topics, God blessed me so much I can't simply keep up because I have hundreds of topics pending.

The greatest revelation one could ever receive from God, is the knowledge of His Word even that which was in the beginning which is Jesus. If the writings of all the apostles were anything to go by, only one of them was given that revelation even John the brother of James who was the only apostle that revealed that Jesus was the Word of God that was in the beginning with God. It wasn't a surprise that he was the closest disciple to Jesus while He was here on Earth, and also the only apostle that proved impossible to kill!

That revelation of His Word, God also gave to me, and this made me to become one of the greatest threat to the works of Satan on planet Earth. Satan kept confronting me afterwards even though I hadn't yet come out and was unknown to the world. He even offered me over a hundred million dollars not to preach that Word which was revealed to me. That made me understand the magnitude of threat that Word posed to him and his devices.

Protection

However in spite of the great threat I posed to Satan's works, he could do nothing to me, because God has blessed with the highest order of protection. The agents of Satan know me very well even though I haven't come out yet, being agents of the devil. But if any of them dared try to touch me, even if I don't pray for them to die as some do, that would be the end of the person, like someone who was struck down just about a yard away from me on the street. Another a "chief" of witches, even a neighbor who died at about the same time I was fiercely attacked in the dream one particular day. Some others have been much wiser even though they knew the threat I posed, hence they didn't go that far regardless even if they could see me, so as not to suffer a similar fate.

Last year I saw angel Michael descend from heaven saying "I'm here to protect you", and considering who angel Michael was, that shows that it's the highest level of protection I enjoy from God.

Power

God blessed me with power beyond measure, as He gave me the same measure of His Spirit that was on Jesus and His apostles. So every works Jesus did, i'd be able to do it and even greater works as He said, if the signs were anythings to go by, because the presence of God is so mighty upon me, I can hardly stand for long whenever I'm praying, and I could literally hear and feel the breeze of God breathing on me.

What's left is for me to unlock it fully by fasting as the Spirit of God revealed to me in December last year, and after I began to do that and fasted from last year into this year, a demon behind the depression and suicidal thoughts of a Nairalander got casted out in the month of January without me yet meeting her in person.

https://www.nairaland.com/6332975/how-fasting-helps-unlock-spiritual/2#98302344

That's only just a tip of the iceberg if what God revealed to me was anything to go by because another name He calls me is "miracle man".

Souls

Aside the souls that God has used me to bring several to salvation elsewhere, God has used me to bring several Nairalanders here back Him including an atheist here which many here know about after my first few months here in Nairaland.

Earlier this year, after a nairalander went through one of my threads she was literally crying out that night to God to forgive her for she had failed Him. She pmed me to let me know that my threads were so amazing, and asked me what she would do get herself back on track with God.

God was later thanking me for bringing her back to Him, but I was like, "you brought her back to Yourself, Lord!". But that's God for you, because He can only do what He's able to do if He has the kind of vessels that allow Him to showcase His ability, so whenever He has that, it means such a big deal to Him.

And those are just some of the instances of souls that God has used me to save here in Nairaland which I'm aware of.

But apart from saving souls, the extent to which the life of the Spirit i live and words I speak is able to inspire people to love God more and to have a deeper walk with Him, even though I was just trying to live a life that pleases Him is something beyond my comprehension. This is also true here in nairaland and some here could attest to this fact.

Not long ago, a friend of mine, who was really thanking God for my life, said to my greatest surprise, that he didn't even need to read the Bible to become so passionate for God and souls and to help the needy, but just looking at the example of my life was enough to inspire him to do so. This is someone God is using mightily to reach the unreached as shown in the collage below which he gave to me, for most if not all of those in the pictures apart from him were former pagans who became Christians because of his message.

Treasures Of The Earth

Last year, God told me He was going to give me the treasures of the Earth, and when that happens, those who really know me here would understand that I didn't get such by seeking it but His own Kingdom, righteousness and interest, so God added everything to me as He said in His Word. Matthew 6:33

So God is adding everything to me after i began to walk at the level of the Spirit where it was all about God, and I can remember once telling someone that God was giving me everything, and the response of the person who knew me very well was, "if someone gives God everything, God would also give the person everything" and that was so on point.

But it unfortunate that many Christians do not yet realize that truth, they give God crumbs yet expect God to give them quality or something better in return. It's only the kind of quality that you give to God that you should expect in return, hence Jesus said, "it's with the same measure you mete that it would be measure back to you." Matthew 4:8

The apostles and the Early church gave God everything, hence God gave them everything in return. The reason God has not given this church as much as He gave to the early church, is simply because they haven't given God close to how much the early church and the apostles gave to God.

If they had, God would have given them the same measure. The only reason God gave me the same measure as the apostles was because I gave Him the same measure they had given to God, which is everything. Hence I'm one of those God's going to use to spearhead His final move on Earth.

God has not only blessed me beyond measure, but now God keeps telling me countless times that "you're a blessing!"

All these and many more which time and space wouldn't permit me to share now are the functions of the life of the Spirit I now lived where it's all about God. And that was what the fasting experience in the wilderness helped me to achieve, hence my sharing it here so it could inspire others to give God likewise.

God bless.

The best I have done in terms of dry fasting is 4days but your story remind me of a situation when I was in Abuja and decided to go to one of those CAC mountain that I came across by chance... I went there and didn't see anybody, perfect place I thought, by midnight around 2am the God Lord send this heavy rain and there was no shelter so I spend the night praying in the rain and lamenting with style. Anyway my second hobby is visiting mosques across the country because I believe every Mosque has its peculiar angel the Minna Central Mosque still my favorite , but when in Lagos I do go to church sometimes though most time it feels like a social gathering but at least one of them help me quit smoking. But on a normal day I stay away from religion I don't go to Mosque or Church but I rather listen to Baba God.

This is rather unfortunate. There is nothing spiritual in all these. You almost died out of ignorance, thanks be to God for your life though.

Different strokes for different folks...

Even with the benefit of hindsight i would make the same decision over and over again given the opportunity to do so again.

What you claim has no spiritual significance is one of the most spiritually significant thing that's ever happened to me, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.

Many apostles and prophets of old even some true believers today who know better concerning such things would agree with me on that.

Hence I would say that this comment you made is rather ignorant and that you haven't the least idea what you speak about.

But you're entitled to your view though.

Moses did and came out with a glorious face, the apostles waited on God and wonders miracles were happening in their camp, they overthrown cities for Christ, but he, 9days of dry fasting, no signs and wonders, no miracles, no deep revelations, no preaching or saving of souls, no life won for Christ! Chaii! How will there be when a man is in competition with his creator and all he could come out with is with skinny bony structure of himself, lolz! this is so laughable.

He even fell into a ditch with full clothes on though skinny yet came out naked, hahaha! what a sailent silent parable of his life he might never understand lolz grin

I'm laughing really hard at the height of ignorance being displayed by you both.

So Moses came out with a glorious face after fasting right? Also the apostles worked signs and wonders after fasting right? But all you know about me is that I came out with a bony structure and naked, without any "signs and wonders, no miracles, no deep revelations, no preaching or saving of souls, no life won for Christ" right?

I'm used to that though with NL Christians who are predominantly spiritually shallow, yet are not willing to learn from those who know and love God much better than they do, so no surprises there.

That's the same way, when I said Jesus appeared to me, they were so sure that it wasn't Him, some were even willing to place a bet... but they all were put to shame, after God went out of His way to confirm here that it was really His Son Jesus that appeared to me to their confounding, that some even had to modify their such comments to show how foolish and ignorant it now made them look. I wouldn't be surprised if you were even one of them because you sound as one of them, even though you come in the guise of a different (new) moniker.

Thank God I have quoted this your comment though just in case... So according to you I was competing with God right? Okay. If you're not also put to shame soon because of this comment, then i'd accept everything you've said against me here as the truth and that the fasting was of no spiritual significance but borne of sheer ignorance.

But if you are, then you should be humble enough to swallow your pride and accept that you made a serious blunder concerning me.

I'm really grateful that I shared this experience even though it gives you an opportunity to mock, because this is not meant for the spiritually blind who believe that God deserves crumbs, and want to continue giving Him such, but for those who are willing to know that God deserves nothing but the best and everything even as the apostles had given to Him, so that they'd be inspired to give Him same.

God bless.

This is rather unfortunate. There is nothing spiritual in all these. You almost died out of ignorance, thanks be to God for your life though.

Nice but not so sure about the bolded part.

This is it!

We ought to feed the spirit man from time to time not just the flesh.
Very true bro, for man shall not live by bread alone, but every Word that comes out of the mouth of God.

Thanks and God bless.

God is your strength ,before embarking on a dry fasting ,it is better not to give your flesh any clue on how long u intend to stay without food ,just ask God to keep you away from food as long as he wills ,cause if you intended to fast for forty days and ended up eating on the tenth day believing in yourself that you had achieved in ten days what u believed previously u should achieve after forty days ,then u are making yourself a judge on your case,I believe you might even achieve more if u had waited more on God ,but u really love God as I happen to know the boldness, joy and confidence one usually have when he truly know his God and love him,i think I see that in u ...i won't fast for forty days unless I recieve an order from God to do it because if he commands ,he is able to preserve till the end.keep the light shining

You should know the purpose of fasting before you begin. People want to fast because Lord Jesus Christ fasted but majority of them don't know why he fasted.

There are always answers to prayers when you have a spirit-filled fast

Bampeh is right

It is an attempt to be a Christ.

Or do you have anywhere in your Bible where Christ commanded anyone to do such thing?

Did you die

I think he did. He definitely strengthened his spirit with that spiritual exercise which survived and is now able to share the story with us
