"I heard" "they said" Nigerian students abandon studies for work. That they go over there to work and not to study. I.e. They put more concentration on making money than studying.

The issue with appointment at the German Mission Nigeria was not influenced by Nigerians studying here or whatever you might have heard. Fact check, Nigerians aren’t even the highest percentage of students here, also as a student, you are allowed to work 120 full days (6 months full time) and 240 half days (1 year part time- 20 hrs a week). If you exceed the limit which they can know via your taxes from work, you might have problem with your residency.

Appointments are available online in Ghana (both cat A and Cat B), Turkey, Cyprus, and some other African countries where students can choose their suitable dates from. The issue with Nigeria is because of the bad situation and governance resulting into citizens finding a way to move out and this is why Germany wants the best.! Why is Ghana not like this? Blame your irresponsible and wicked government and not Nigerian students in Germany.

By the way, this appointment issue is the same in Iran, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Iraq.

I would advise that you read this thread carefully.

To your question, Yes they are attending to students but it is mostly those on scholarship and Cat A, some Cat B have been lucky. You can hold on with the block account because when you block, it is somewhat difficult to withdraw your money if you change your mind.

I got to Walter Carington at about some minutes to 7am. My appointment was scheduled for 9am but one of the lady selling outside advised me to go in on time that they would attend to me if 7am people are not much.

The checklist of documents needed is on the German embassy website, plus you are only booking for a visa interview. Getting 'German' health insurance would rather be needed when you are in Deutschland.

Education in Germany is not easy so I guess he might be talking from experience so that is why he is advising such. but hey, am not you and you are not me so this is just an advice and you know your self more than anyone else. But if it has anything to do with Engineering and applied Sciences, my dear just be ready to read BOOK . Even Indians are complaining on Quora and the hard truth is that you might not complete the masters in two years.

And my two kobo, once you pick a course for M.Scs., try and look at the course contents, see the compulsory courses and also check the electives. I have dropped so many courses because they had plenty Mathematics and Statistics in them, not that i cant tackle them hands down but oh boy, i no fit dey do those midnight thingy again. Even if i do na once in a while not those undergraduate days. Plus we gast do some menial jobs to survive so who get that time to dey completely read book. So am choosing simple courses that i can easily pass without much stress. Many students always try to switch courses after their first two semesters...

I used that notary to get my documents certified for uni-assist application and it was more than accepted.

Anyway, bros if u want to go to high court of Justice to do it, just do what u feel comfortable. The most important thing is to get it notorised and certified, period.
