All i hope for is an Odua republic, I don't care if the rest can cope with each other together, as along as Yoruba should never share a country with any other tribe especially the arrogant fulanis |

valirex:Assuming you said there are other ethnic groups in Rivers State like Kalabari,Ijaw,Ogoni,e.t.c,it would make more sense because these ethnicities are very distinct from Igbo, they only share boundaries with Igbo communities but have nothing in common with Igbos. However, the Ekpeye you mentioned will be drafted into the proposed Orashi state because Ekpeye is an Igboid nationality, some historians even classify them as an Igbo sub-group. Visit Wikipedia if you doubt me! Though Ikwerre was not included in the proposed Orashi State,I will suggest they be included because they are also an Igboid nationality,an average Igbo man from Imo and Abia State have a lot in common with an Ikwerre man,so I don't see why they should be seen as a distinct ethnic group! |

milann:Simple. If most of the current states are economically useless what will now happen increasing it further. It should go regional adopting the zeo-political zones. Each region can then split or create whatever units will make it easier for control. |

valirex:Ekpeye doesn't claim to be Bini, Ekpeyes are older than Binis. Go and read U.J Ajugo book for more clarification,he is the biggest Ekpeye historian. Ikwerre on the other hand only have few people claiming Benin. Ever wondered why Chibuike Amaechi and Nyesom Wike despite being kinsmen from thesame local government had different disposition towards their ethnicity, one claimed he is Igbo and one said his ancestors migrated from Benin, this is exactly how Ali Ikwerre is as at now, I've met thousands of Ikwerre in Rivers State that claimed to be Igbo and I have met thousands who claim that their ancestors migrated from Benin. Nevertheless, whether Bini or Igbo,Ikwerre is not an Edoid language,it is Igboid just like Ekpeye,Ogba, Ndoni,e.t.c. |

Owajigarrisson:I could point you to a video where ogba, Ikwerre, Ekpeye etc paid homage to the Ọba of Benin and restated they are Benins |

valirex:So when a group of people pay homage, the whole Ekpeye,Ogba and Ikwerre become Bini ?Nigerians don't know history, that's why people make funny insinuations like this. Do you know that the Igbide people of Isoko claim to have migrated from Akwa in Anambra state, does that make them Igbo and non-Isoko? Do you know that Opobo was founded by an Igbo man and many Igbo freed slaves who were Ijawnized, does that make them Igbo and non-Ijaws?? What do you have to say concerning the fact that the most respected Ekpeye historian of all time, U.J.Ajugo reinstated in many of his books that Ekpeye has nothing in common with Benin and that they are older than the Benin empire?? Can you give me reasons why there are many Ikwerre men heading different posts in Ohaneze Ndi Igbo? Can you tell me why Obi Wali, one of the most famous Ikwere men of all time pushed for his people to be included with Igbos? Can you tell me why there is a place called Rumuigbo in Ali Ikwerre, "Rumu" means children in Ikwerre(Igbos call it umu). So it means the inhabitants are Igbo children! Can you tell me why according to Isiokpo's oral history, they migrated from Arochukwu in Abia State? There are millions of things that shows that these guys have nothing to do with Benin, the war and Nigeria's politics divided many ethnic groups and put them against one another, Igbos were badly hit than the rest, that's why you'll see indigenous Igbo settlements in Delta(Anioma),Rivers State(Upland),Akwa Ibom(Ndoki in Ukanafun LGA),Cross River(Igbos in Obubra and Abi LGA) and Benue(Obi,Oji). Fact is if the 42 states as proposed is created, the Igboid tribes should be United under one geo-political zone just as the Yoruboid and Edoid should be,enough of this identity crisis! |

Owajigarrisson:Chibudom Nwuche is a prominent Ekpeye politician who has remained Igbo and an important member of Ohanaeze Ndiigbo. Chibudom successor, Osinakachukwu Ideozu is not Igbo inclined like Chibudom, but I haven't seen any Igbophobic statement attributed to him yet. So my take is that he is neutral on the issue, hoping to pull out the "I am Igbo" card if he finds himself in federal politics tomorrow and need SE vote. After all how can you say that an Osinakachukwu is not an Igbo name? Other than him(Chibudom Nwuche), I haven't seen any Ekpeye man proudly identify as Igbo post civil war. Of course we know that Ekpeye people were proud of their Igbo identity pre civil war, we have the Willink report where Ekpeye people preferred to remain with other Igbos than be part of COR state. Ekpeye people also stood with Ndiigbo in Biafra war till the very end and never betrayed us, they were made to pay for their loyalty to us in old Rivers as they were highly marginalized. The Ikwerre and Ogba Igbophobia has rubbed off on Ekpeye people and many of Ekpeye people are currently very Igbophobic. |

There may not be a Bill before the house. In 2007I endorsed Guy Ikokwu's proposals for 42 or 48 State match the 7States in the NW ZONE.I REAFFIRM 42 STATES as suggested if we must create more States. |

Owajigarrisson:You said because a group of people say their tribe is Benin doesn't mean they are, but you went ahead to point one man that claims to be a historian and then went ahead to say a group of Ekpeye and ikwere people are holding positions in ohaneze. Do you see how to contradicted yourself? |
| Re: There Is No Bill To Make Nigeria Have 42 States by Igboid: 1:03pm On Mar 10, 2021 |
Owajigarrisson:The Ekpeye like many riverine Igbo communities like Ogbaru, Ndoni, Aboh, Onitsha, Ogba, all had fallacious inferiority complex driven concocted oral stories of Bini origin handed down to them by weak ancestors who forged those stories out of need to appear exotic before their fellow Igbos. If you schooled in SE, you will notice same behavior from Igbos who were born and raised in Lagos, who now schooling in SE try to make themselves appear sophisticated before those of us born and raised in Igbo land. These inferiority complex suffering Igbo youths identify themselves as Lagosians and speak Yoruba amongst themselves to appear superior when indeed they are suffering from inferiority complex. This is exactly what the ancestors of these Igbo speaking but Bini claiming Igboid communities did. They lived in cosmopolitan Bini in the past and when Bini suffered upheavals, these Igbos returned back home East empty handed except that they returned with their Bini mannerisms and inferiority complex which they try to impose as superiority complex. They want to retain attachment to Bini because they figure it makes them superior to their siblings who stayed in the rainforests and never went to live cosmopolitan lifestyle in Bini. They passed concocted stories of Bini origin to their descendants who today parrot it about even though they look like fools. Ekpeye people were claiming Bini origin not long ago. They joined the Bini Franchise called Great Bini Descendants (GBD), they were attending their meetings, meeting Oba Bini. They thought the Bini were looking for equal partners, until it dawned on them that Bini are merely looking for people to rule over, people to bring under the Dominion of Oba Bini. The Igbo in Ekpeye that is already used to the idea of Egalitarian society, couldn't accept the subservient role Bini wanted them to play. So they withdrew from the GBD organization and decided to re distort their history, rather than return to their Igbo root. So out stepped U.J Ajugo with half baked ridiculous claims he called Ekpeye history where he claimed Ekpeye people are no longer Bini descendants but are now the mother super tribe that gave birth to Igbo, Bini and even Yoruba and once ruled over the three groups. Makes you pity the Ekpeye people. I mean, the delusion is extraordinary. ![]() |

valirex:The man I mentioned is followed by almost every learned Ekpeye man so he is more influential than some group of funny men going to pay homage to Oba of Benin. You still haven't answered my questions as to why there are many villages like Rumuigbo,Obigbo,Ogbe-Igbo in Ali Ikwerre,Ali Ogba and Ali Ekpeye |

Owajigarrisson:1. Why do you type in English and not Ibo? 2. Why do you dress in English style instead of ibo style? 3. Why do you have streets named in English instead of ibo? Answer these questions and you have your answer to why they're named that |

valirex:This is very stale , the British colonized us and imposed English on us, however Igbo communities were stateless societies that couldn't colonize anyone,so any person you here answering Uche must have been from an indigenous Igbo settlement! |
