For me, it matters. Your appearance speaks about how you respect yourself. If you're a lady with multiple layers of potbelly that could be confused with pregnancy, doesn't seems like someone that pays attention to their overall sophistication and appearance, then it doesn't matter if you're a good woman, I'm not interested.

I want to be physically attracted to you. My male brain is geared towards finding a curvaceous, beautiful, and sexy woman attractive. Me myself, I'm like that. I can see my six pack clearly, and take what I eat and sport seriously. So my woman have to be like that. Beauty is the power of the feminine, and she must use hers well.

It's important but not essential.
One get fed up of everything about ones spouse with time but at least if she has a pretty face, you'll still see something to look at and it'll take time to get fed of it, but if na one ugly gal u carry enter, u go just gbadun ha for highest 6months bfr u go don fed up with her.

It's not essential in the sense that, if u end up being with a very good gal and the next thing you're thinking of is that she's not beautiful, u might end up being with a bitch of a gal later.

looks matter to me Not just facial but over all body physique. The way I work hard to maintain my body when I'm not gyming I'm doing several pushups squats and Ab crunches sometimes I have to Force myself not to take Soda or any carbonated drink its pretty. Now after going through all that, you expect me to like your fat ugly ass? God forbid you don't deserve me, I deserve better. You might Not have a pretty face no problem but There are things you can take control that will make you Attractive, Hygiene, weight and Body structure. So yeah.. Looks Matter.
