I don't mean to be rude but your post is so stupid and ignorant. Probably representative of yourself.

Did you also consider the minimum wage in those countries
Do you realise we use fuel for everything not just cars.
In Nigeria you need fuel to run a business. To pump water in your house. To watch TV. Things you wouldn't need fuel for in the countries you listed.

Some people don't think before spewing rubbish. Then again maybe they don't have a functioning brain.

Well

1.We are using fuel for running business and pumping water, etc. because since we privatised power in 2013....we have been paying power prices between N20-30 PER Kwh while power actually costs N53 per kwh to produce.

Government pays the power sector a subsidy, partally from government purse, partially from loans and grants to make things better

As a result, the power sector has been running at a loss.

Thus, we use fuel to pump water, power our business, etc...because we have refused as a nation to pay the actual price for power.

Even the recent increases means that power companes now lose N2 per kwh produced.

2.And he is right...the perosn you quoted. Ghana even pays a minnimum wage around the same as Nigeria.

I hope there will be lasting solution to the increment in crude oil refining and transportation after dangote refinery commence production.

A review of the pricing template showed the average price per ton of the commodity at about $561.96, or N169.22 per litre, while the average freight rate coat (North-West Europe to West Africa) of about $21.63 per ton, or N6.51 per litre

Above is where the increment is coming from, except if we are demanding for the return of subsidy , there is not the government can do, else, there will be scarcity of PMS

This is totally wrong. Landing cost has been there since abi don't they pay those stuff before? What made it to increase?

Nigerians open your eyes and see why DANGOTE is he richest man. This is to further frustrate importer and pave ways for Dangote to scale.

This is evil

On the other hand to answer some questions raised about why PPPRA still sets these prices despite say dem talk say dem don hands off, it is cos till now NNPC is still the sole importer of PMS. Marketers buy from the NNPC.

The painful thing about buharinomics is that whether the barrel of crude goes up or down, we wont feel any respite cos our currency is shit, and we import the PMS. So when crude oil drops, dollar is still high so landing cost is high, when crude goes up, dollar come still high, double jeopardy. No win in sight for the Nigerian. All because some bastards wrested power, promised heaven on earth, failed to do any of their promises, and some hopeless indidviduals thought it best to reward such incompetence with a second term. Not even 1 refinery revamped..1 pere! Na when Dangote and Bua refinery ready, una go hear wuen! we are just very conceited and selfish Nigerians, and truly we deserve what these evil clueless despots do, cos we put them there over and over again. Someone here was writing Amaechi 2023, Tinubu 2023..abeg who go survive go survive, who go chop go chop, who go starve make e starve. Dead and buried country!

Some of you are just too dull in such an annoying way. It is people like you that give this evil govt the effrontery to continue to oppress Nigerians and do as they please. Now compare the minimum wage in Naira as you did for PMS price and the standard of living of these countries- same minimum wage most states are struggling to pay. The likes of Benin, Ghana and Kenya are not oil producing and depend on import, so it's understandably high but for God's sake this is an OPEC country.

Benin and Niger are at our level as is Ghana.....and fuel in all three countries is above N300 per liter.

yea i did mention benin as a slum, same with Niger, and same as Nigeria. GHC relative to the dollar is incomparable to the NGN to dollar bro. The question is in 2021 shd we be at the level of those dead small countries Niger and Benin? What do they have?? We have everything and are still languishing as those teeny weeny slums with nothing.

Why are you running away from Ghana

Besides, most of the other countries also have something Nigeria does not have...higher tax to gdp ratios. And part of the fuel price is government taxes....something we don't do here.

They earn more than we do, but they also get severely taxed...so much so that they complain heavily.

We cannot eat our cake and still have it.. This is purely due to subsidy removal which is self explanatory due to increasing crude prices..

But on d other side, we are yet to see d effect of subsidy removal.. Minimum wage is still too low probably around $70 per month..

In saner climes, fuel cost higher, but they can afford it cos they earn well..

I know one day, we will get it right in this country

Get what right in which country?

The earlier you know Nigeria is finished, the more peaceful your heart becomes.

You don't have to be rude. It is what it is. Currently we don't refine crude oil. We import it. Untill we start refining it while waiting for Dangote and BUA the price will never be in our favour.

eyaa! You need to read more books o, cos it really shows. There is something called purchasing power parity, read about it small. They dont spend the worthless naira in those places. Find out also how much their own currencies are relative to the dollar, then juxtapose that with their minimum wage to see how much easier it will be for them to buy that 1litre, shey you get. All those countries, except benin republic, which is just another slum like nigeria (i used lower-case on purpose, they are that worthless)

And you tactically did not include the same Angola in the list above.

You did not include Saudi Arabia
You did not include Iraq
You did not include Venezuela
You did not include UAE.

Have it in mind that the countries you earlier mentioned refine imported produced crude and produce PMS at a far better quality than the dirty and cheap fuel being imported in this country. Heck they even have PMS grades as per Octane rating.

And you think refining our crude will miraculously solve the problem currently experienced?

Well done.
