I’m afraid but no other way except u secured a loan or a federal assisted scholarship in which case you must provide proofs

why not simply put a call through to the school’s admission office, if u are scared of the credit to call, there are apps that allows u to call US for free..This is the fastest way to reach schools here except when stated otherwise, to communicate via emails.

your gut feelings/intuition is valid, don’t come here to study without a solid funding plan..by all means, ensure u have fundings or money readily available for your studies, or else, u will almost be depressed and tempted to settle for less while trying to be legal.... Not a good experience if u ask me...No gaslighting

No way except u can get a citizen to co-sign for u which is like finding a needle in a haystack...The other option is to at least have a year’s tuition ,so that once you’re used to the system , u can find a way around it, which is also not easy coz u can’t serve 2 masters at same time..I know some people will start telling y’all tales about people that survived it..oh well, u don’t want to be working under table to $7/hr and at the end, you’re out of status and can’t get reinstated unless u get married or come back to naija and reapply...

you could ask the school for a CSS fee waiver code if they give to international students, else ask if they accept the ISFAA (international student financial aid application), its a free paper based you'll download or the college emails it to you its not available on college board website. If the college doesnt provide css waiver codes to intl students or accept the ISFAA be ready to pay $25, if you need to send it to additional colleges they'll ask you to pay $16 per colleges.

Please, anyone going to University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for fall 2021 session?

This thing is dicey, private schools are expensive especially the ones in the East Coast. However, they give the best packages in terms of funding. Those guys have stupid money, I have a friend that even got accommodation free. You can't get that in an Msc program for public schools except the rich ones. So it's a 50/50 chance. Look at a school like Liberty University (it's part of the cheapest private schools (26k full COA) with a good bang for your buck). They also give tuition discounts.

The private IVY'S are really tough but if you get in, you have a really high chance of getting aid. So before you apply to a private school, check their funding offers (look for people on LinkedIn in the school or alumni). Connect with them, you'll get better info from them.

It can take 2 -3 weeks and due to Covid, processes are a bit slower. Reach out to the school, and ask why?

Most schools are sending sodt copy i20 this time.
