The correct amount is $1 billion not $1 trillion.

Sahara reporters and premium times are anti Government. They do this even if facts are on ground they capitalize on the fact that nigerians are lazy about finding out the truth.

It's unfortunate we have to live with this evil men.
Even without this publication is it today that people on here have been complaining that expensive equipment are getting in the hands of terror easily without stress? How can you spend almost 50 million dollars to fund terror indirectly against your own people and still employ dolts online to call same people as wicked...

You seem to be more concerned about Investigative reporting than our failed procurement strategy, poor battlefield tactics and constant lies from the DHQ to the public. This are the real problems we are facing.

With people like you we are never going to win this war. angry angry angry

I only responded to the sahara reporters story and I don't see any need commenting on what almost everyone have talked about. Am sure we all have great expectations.

It's difficult for me to say anything about battle field tactics on my bed in Abuja. Military will never give you details of that as the only thing they owe you is result. The COAS just spent about a month or even less and Air force also expecting some toys to play with. That says alot about what to expect soon and for sure I like them taking the fight to ISWAP territory. It's the only way for the war to end sooner than expected.

lastly, why should I bother about lies from DHQ if am not bothered about lies from ISWAP/BOKO HARAM? it's part of the war but unfortunately for the military they don't have control over the media houses like many advance countries. Even US government dey lie not to talk of Nigerian Army/DHQ.

TROOPS SUSTAIN OFFENSIVE ONSLAUGHT, KILL MORE BOKO HARAM/ISWAP TERRORISTS, CAPTURE ARMS, AMMUNITION IN DIKWA - AJIRI AXIS, BORNO STATE

The sustained offensive onslaught on Boko Haram terrorists and their ISWAP ilk by the Nigerian Army has continued to gain traction as troops of 81Task Force Battalion in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force and Vigilante on the evening of Monday, 15 March 2021 neutralized more terrorists in Dikwa axis, Borno State.

In an aggressive fighting patrol and concealed picketing conducted by troops in continuation of the ongoing subsidiary Operation in the Theatre of Operation LAFIYA DOLE code named operation "TURA TAKAIBANGO", troops took out scores of Boko Haram fighters along Dikwa - Ajiri axis in Dikwa Local Government area of the state.

The troops on patrol came in contact with terrorists mounted on motor cycles and a gun truck, swiftly engaged them in a fierce firefight, killing 6 of them and recovered several weapons, ammunitions and sundry items. Items captured in the encounter includes 1 PKM, 2 AK 47 rifles, 1 FN rifle, 3 FN rifle magazines, 2 AK 47 rifle magazines, 36 rounds of 7.62mm NATO,19 rounds of 7.62mm special and 67 PKM linked rounds. Others include 2 motor cycles, 1 magazine pouch, 2 mobile handsets and a tube of adhesive solution.

Similarly, troops of Bravo Company while on similar routine perimeter patrol on the same 15 March, recovered a mobile handset phone suspected to been abandoned by the fleeing members of the terrorists who came under troops heavy fire during the attempt to infiltrate the camp on 14 March, 2021. The handset has been handed over to 7 Military Intelligence Brigade for scrutiny.

In line with the directive of Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, troops will remain resolute and determined to ensure that the general area is completely cleared and protected while aggressively dominating every route where terrorists are suspected to move around in order to smoke them out.

remember i said in this forum some day a go that Nigeria air force will buy new fighter jet but many people started insult and calling me a lie. God have finally vindicated me. the procurement of this fighter are in three catagroies .1. procurement of trainer and light attack jet. 2. procurement of heavy muti role fighter. which i will range between the j17, f35, su34,or su 57. j10, and china j31 prototype. 3 procurement of heavy strategic lifter and heavy isr plane 4. procurement of air defense system from china or Russian or any other country. please let to trust each other in this forum. people who insult me some day ago can see for them self

Yes! That makes sense: 70 mn USD airframes in squadron strength of 12 would consume at least 75% of the total defence budget of 1.8 bn USD as of 2019. Also those heavyweight, twin engine deep strike/air superiority FSBs cost at least 5 mn USD yearly to fly. Strategic lifters like the Y 20 have a Fly Away Cost of 160 mn USD,annual cost of 14 mn USD;assume at least 3 frames to have an embryonic heavy lift squadron to be developed within say 5 years .
Perfectly doable! We should congratulate the boys at Ship House for their genius.

Troops in the town should launch an aggressive clearance operation all over the town to avoid a repeat of the Dikwa scenario.

Also there will most likely be another attack before Monday. This one came too early for them not to have another plan for another attack.
One would have expected them to use their troops and resources to strengthen defenses in their AORs but the bastards akmow what they are doing.
Most of their troops are trained with attacking mindset hence they are far more capable at attacking than defending. So they have now started their own offensive operations too to force the military to move back to defensive stance.

Reinforcements should be in, every avenue of escape blocked and all ISWAP killed or captured. Repeat This circle and they would think twice next time..

This should not be tried unless there is adequate protection for troops.
Terrorists are far more dangerous when connered than when their retreat route is secured. Casualties might be heavy on own troops if that is done. Using airforce is another thing entirely.
