Op, you make sense dye. A story between the cunningly wise Tortoise (Nnamdi Kanu) and the FOOOOLISH dying elephant that wants some dead bodies to accompany him on his way to hades. |
dvee2:I know how you are feeling right now, peeing in your pants in your bid to ejaculate your accumulated seminal hatred. Enjoy it while it lasts. For soon, when your terrorist soldiers don't see hapless Igbos to shoot for sport, they will go back to Sambisa where they belong under the command of Shekau. Yeye cowardly soldiers, as if they can match the IPOBs if they were armed. |

It's not time yet. When the time comes the military personnel who allowed themselves to be used and those using them will answer to the ICC for their actions. |
Members of the House of Representatives from the south east geopolitical zone have declared that any military operation that frightens, maims or leads to loss of lives of citizens and property is unjustifiable. They also stated that such operation was an offence to the principle democracy and the rule of law. The federal lawmakers spoke on the heels of the Monday invasion of Afara Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State, the home country of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu by a detachment of the Nigerian army where some fatalities were reported to have happened. A statement signed by the Deputy Minority Leader and Leader South-East Caucus, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Chukwuka Onyema on Wednesday called for caution in Abia State and the entire south east zone. The legislators however expressed their support to a Seven -man Committee by the South East Governors to investigate the causes of the current conflict in Abia State. The statement read in full: “The attention of the South East Caucus of the House of Representatives has been drawn to the reported fallout from the ongoing military show of force in the South East, code named Operation Python Dance II. “Though without convincing explanations, we were informed that a few days ago, some civilians were shot and wounded as they clashed with soldiers at Afaraukwu Village in Umuahia, yet again we have received report of a military invasion of the Umuahia NUJ Office where journalists were molested and their equipment destroyed. “As a result of the escalating tension, Abia State Governor had to impose a dust to dawn curfew in the commercial town of Aba. “While we appreciate the right to discharge core duties of the Nigeria armed forces as spelt out under section 217 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), there is no gainsaying that internal military operations can only be conducted without doing violence to the constitutionally guaranteed fundamental human rights of citizens. “To conduct operations that frighten, maim or lead to loss of lives of citizens and property, are clearly unjustifiable and an offence to our democracy and the rule of law. “We therefore call for a de-escalation of “internal military operations” in Abia State and the South East as a whole, while urging our brothers and sisters at home to remain civil and law abiding. “We wish to express our support to the reported setting up of a Seven -man Committee by the South East Governors to investigate the causes of the current conflict in Abia State.” Source: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/09/abia-ll-not-tolerate-undemocratic-military-operations-south-east-igbo-reps/ |

attackgat:No. He came to complete his anti-Igbo agenda started in 1983 with the arrest of Ekwueme and pampering of Shagari. |
Operation Python Dance 2 was doomed to fail in so far as it was a ploy to intimidate IPOB. It was dead on arrival. What nonsense! This is not 1966/67. |
Murdered indeed. Op, are you related to Lalasticlala? Your choice of the word 'murdered' instead of 'killed' shows you are related to him. |

The Presidential Panel set up to investigate alleged human rights violations by the Nigerian Army, yesterday, held its inaugural sitting in Abuja, with Benue indigenes narrating how soldiers helped rampaging herdsmen to attack their communities. This came as the chairman of the probe panel, Justice Biobele Georgewill, said the proceeding will provide a unique opportunity to those that have genuine and verifiable cases of human rights abuses by the Armed Forces, in the course of managing and containing local conflicts and insurgencies, to submit their memoranda. He said the panel will hold a public hearing in each of the six geo-political zones of the country on selected dates and centres. It will be recalled that the panel, which was constituted by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, while he was the Acting President, was tasked to, among other things, “review compliance of the forces with human rights obligations and rules of engagement, especially in the local conflict and insurgency situations.” Shortly after Justice Georgewill, Chairman of the seven-man panel, declared the sitting open, residents of Moon Valley communities in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State took turns to narrate their experience. They narrated how about 30,000 persons were sacked by the military from their abode. Represented by their lawyer, Mr. Mike Utsaha, the community told the panel that while 28 persons were killed in the attack, 91 compounds and property were destroyed. According to the community, the attack was carried out by the 93 Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Takum, Taraba State. The community, through an 18-page memorandum submitted to the panel, stated how following intense and sustained attacks from 2013 to 2015, they were massacred and displaced from their ancestral land by the combined team of soldiers and herdsmen. Witness’ account In his testimony, the first petitioners’ witness, Mr. Jacob Kwaghkper, who is a retired Deputy Director with the National Commission for Colleges of Education, told the panel that from 2015 to June 2017, five communities that make up the Moon Valley were subjected to intense, sustained and coordinated attacks by soldiers from the 93 Battalion and herdsmen, leading to the death of 28 people. He told the panel that the herdsmen, with the active support of soldiers, were still occupying ancestral lands of the five communities. Lamenting before the panel, Kwaghkper said: “The soldiers are even providing security for the herdsmen, who are occupying the ancestral lands of the communities. “The displaced people of the communities, who escaped from the series of sustained attacks, have become refugees in Cameroon and internally displaced persons, IDPs, taking shelter in various places in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, under the watchful eyes of both the federal and state government without any form of assistance.” Another witness, Mr. Agbo Utah, told the panel that soldiers watched as herdsmen burnt down his compound. He also narrated how he was beaten, arrested and detained for a week by soldiers who disrupted local government election held in the area in 1998. Demands Aside the narratives, the displaced communities prayed the panel to order immediate restoration of their ancestral lands with adequate compensation. They further want all places of worship, schools and markets that were destroyed as a result of the attacks by soldiers of the 93 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Takum, Taraba State, and herdsmen, be rebuilt on their original sites. Hundreds of thousands of Catalans rallied on Monday to demand their region’s secession from Spain, in a show of strength three weeks ahead of an independence referendum which has been banned by Madrid. Draped in red, yellow and blue separatist flags — with one banner reading “Goodbye Spain” — they marched through central Barcelona in what many hope will be the last protest before independence. “If there is huge mobilisation, they can’t do anything in Madrid,” said Jordi Calatayud, a 21-year-old economics student, referring to the October 1 vote. “Catalan people will make independence possible; if there are a lot of us, they can’t stop us.” Around one million people took part in the event, Barcelona’s municipal police said in a Twitter post. A spokeswoman for the central government’s representative in the wealthy northeastern region put the turnout lower, at around 350,000 people. The protest coincides with Catalonia’s national day, the “Diada”, which marks the fall of Barcelona in the War of the Spanish Succession in 1714 and the region’s subsequent loss of institutions and freedoms. Since 2012 the holiday has been used by separatists to press for an independent state. “What more do we have to do to make it understood that the people of Catalonia want to vote?” Catalonia’s pro-independence president Carles Puigdemont told reporters at the rally. – ‘Put me in prison’ – Those against independence complained that a day meant for all Catalans had been hijacked by separatists — and even more so this year, ahead of the referendum. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, whose conservative government is fiercely against the vote, wished Catalonia “a good day”, calling “for a Diada of freedom, cohabitation and respect for all Catalans”. Demonstrators took the shape of a giant “X” by gathering on the Paseo de Gracia and Aragon avenues in central Barcelona, to represent the mark Catalans will make on their ballots during the referendum. If the “Yes” side wins, Catalonia’s regional government has vowed to declare independence within 48 hours and set about building a sovereign state. With Spain’s central government promising to block the referendum, the pro-independence camp was keen to show that it can rally its troops — especially after participation in the “Diada” declined last year. “I am too old to be told what I can or can’t do, I am counting on voting and I will do so, even if they have to put me in prison,” said Mari Carmen Pla, a 70-year-old pensioner surrounded by a sea of red and yellow Catalan independence flags. – Region divided – Rajoy’s conservative government has said the vote violates Spain’s constitution, which states that only central authorities can call a referendum. Following a legal challenge from his government, Spain’s Constitutional Court suspended a referendum law that was fast-tracked through Catalonia’s regional parliament on Wednesday. Police have searched a Catalan printing house and a local weekly newspaper suspected of making ballots for the referendum, while Spain’s state prosecutor has opened criminal proceedings against Puigdemont and other Catalan officials. Catalan society is deeply divided over independence. In a survey by the Catalan Centre of Opinion Studies in July, 41.1 percent backed independence while 49.9 percent rejected it. But about 70 percent wanted a referendum, to settle the question once and for all. Like the referendum held in Britain last year on the country’s membership in the European Union, the issue in Catalonia pits rural areas — which are more pro-independence — against large urban centres like Barcelona which are more in favour of remaining in Spain. Catalonia, roughly the same size as Belgium, has its own language and customs, and already has significant powers over matters such as education and healthcare. But Spain’s economic problems, coupled with a perception that the wealthy northeastern region’s 7.5 million people pay more in taxes to Madrid than they get in return, have pushed the independence question to the centre stage. During the 2013 “Diada” demonstrators formed a human chain that crossed Catalonia. The following year the demonstration took the shape of a giant “V” for “vote”, while in 2015 the march resembled a human arrow. Governors from the southeastern part of Nigeria have condemned the clash between soldiers and supporters of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The clash occurred on Sunday, September 10, leaving some people injured and one person with bullet wounds. A soldier and a police officer were also injured in the incident. In a statement by the director of information of the Southeast Governors Forum, Mr Mike Udah, the state chief executives are not happy with the incident. The statement issued at the forum’s secretariat in Abakaliki, the governors said the incident was worrisome and disturbing. The however expressed their resolve to continue to maintain peace in their respective domains and in the country. The statement said that the governors had met with Kanu and some other Igbo stakeholders with the aim of ensuring that agitations for Biafra do not undermine the unity and oneness of Nigeria. The governors said it was disheartening for security operatives to invade the home of Kanu when they were already intervening for a lasting solution to the issue. “The South East Governors had held meetings in order that the agitations by Pro-Biafra groups do not escalate. “The recent invasion of the home of Nnamdi Kanu does not speak well of the unity of the Nation. It is indeed worrisome. “Meanwhile, efforts are being made by the governors to meet and nip such development in the bud,” the statement read.

There is a medical terminology for your condition. I have a friend with similar problem. The guy does not smell anything no matter how smelly. Even if you fart, he won't be bothered unless he heard the sound of it. Just take your condition in good faith and pray there is a change. |

There's time for everything under the sun: a time to work and a time to preach. But, why is she trying to have her cake and eat it? Let her just forget about the job and continue preaching. Management doesn't want you to preach, pure and simple. Why go contrary. Or does she not know that telling patients about a particular religion can scare some of them away? That's gross misconduct deserving of a sack, I tell ya. Why get emotional about it? Abi, you think it's Africa where people are mad over religion? Keep your religious idiosyncrasies to yourself, sisterly or better still, establish your own clinic and preach all you want. |
I've not seen this kind of cowardly bunch of governors in any other parts of the country. While others are taking hardline stands on some critical issues, this bunch are busy playing safe just to please someone that will deal with their people regardless of whether you criticize him or not. |
So Sahara Reporters still dey exist. Una de find who go kill and bury una abi? Oya comot here before I...
