Education › Re: History: How An African Slave Became India's Greatest King by potent5(m): 4:52pm On Feb 02, 2021 |
Any pictures of the man of grave site being visited by tourists? DontTradeUrSoul: So much greatness of Africans have been watered-down or outrightly obliterated from History in order to disconnect, demoralized and prevent upcoming African Generations from rising to become perpetual World Rulers. Africans developed the very first World Civilization on which all others were later built. After learning, deceiving, stealing, sabotaging and shortchanging the great People of African, the collonial masters finally took over Africa and destroyed the very first University in the World and other visible Achievements that corroborates Africans's Superiority to Europeans and others.
The era of slavery is over but we must always remind ourselves of the ones who came before us and have fought the wars of slavery and freedom before our existence. One of them is Malik Ambar, a man who was sold as a slave to India and eventually became king.
Malik Ambar lived between 1548 and is recorded to have died on the 13th of May 1626. He was a Siddi Military leader and prime minister of the Ahmadnagar Sultanate in the Deccan region of India.
Malik was sold as a slave by his parents from an Ethiopian town to raise money for survival. He found his way to India as a slave and became one of the finest warriors India had ever seen. Not only this, he became the hero the nation needed. Since his Ethiopian tribe had just finished fighting a war that cost them too much, the rate of survival due to poverty doubled and everyone in the tribe had little to nothing to eat.
Then young Malik was sold to Yemen slave traders who then sold him to a town/city in India called Baghdadi. While serving his master in the Indian town, Malik was offered an opportunity to join the military as a slave soldier, an offer which he didn't decline. Due to his previous training and military skills, he quickly rose through the ranks and almost became second only to his slave master.
It wasn't long before his slave master died which automatically means freedom for Malik Ambar. The role of a soldier never exempted him from any societal functions neither did his past as a slave. This became obvious when his King was assassinated. Malik as a strong and respected military man, rallied soldiers and fought back against those who caused the assassination of the king and brought back stability to the town.
Malik is also credited for the expansion of the kingdom by constantly defeating the mighty army of the Kingdom of Mughals whose kingdom is right next to his.
Malik Ambar is known for his special fighting skill called 'Guerilla'. A form of warfare that was introduced to the Deccan region in India.
As any King who seeks to create a legacy would do, Malik founded his city and named it Kadki and this great city still exist today.
He became the regent of Nizamshahi dynasty in India and ruled it until his death at the age of 77.
Unfortunately, Malik Ambar whose birth name was Chapu before being converted to Islam by his slave owner and given the name Ambar had his back against every other part of the world including his home-town due to his active time in India. His home town/ tribe are now extinct due to the effect of the war and the extreme poverty that befell them after.
Though the ethnic tribe which Ambar came from were known and revered for their great military skilled warriors, who were so great they served on contract in wars and as mercenaries in the regions frequent wars, it was obvious that they lacked the economic capacity and exhausted the little they had in wars and constant battles.
Of course, Ambar Malik's journey wasn't an easy one as he was sold from hand to hand and from place to place including Mecca and the Dutch area before he found his way to India. A popular Dutch scholar and slave owner described him as a "Black Kafir" in one of his writing.
Malik Ambar died at the age of 77 and with his wife, he left 2 sons and 2 daughters. Unfortunately, his first son didn't possess the same wisdom and military tactics as his father, so the kingdom fell into the hands of the Moghuls just ten years after Malik's death.
Perhaps if he had never been sold, he may have never been this great. He could have simply gone extinct with the rest of his tribe.
Today, his tomb is in India and is constantly visited by Pilgrims and tourists from all parts of the world. |
