Dontee5star: CONGRATS BROTHER , AM SURE YOU APPLIED UNDER SSVF ; WOULD BE SO NICE OF YOU TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE ABOUT THE NEW RULE RATHER THAN JUST BRIEFING SO MANY PROSPERTIVE CANDIDATES ON HERE , WHAT AND WHAT DID YOU SUBMIT AS REGARDS FINANCIAL DOCS , AT WHAT TIME DID YOU GO TO TLS FOR FINGERPRINTING
Cc BigZCassino. asoasoaso I did my medicals at IOM on 3rd July, 2016 (33,000 NGN), finalized online on the 8th of July. Then, I lodged my visa (550 AUD) on 7th July, an auto mail was generated to go do biometrics. Biometrics (Finger printing ) was done at TLS on 8th July, 2016 (7,100 NGN). Status online read "Assessment in Progress" until 19th July wen the grant rolled in. As for financial document: I uploaded a "proof of sponsorship"....since i'm on a postgraduate scholarship. |

sen2paco: @aaffluent I went for the medicals after I booked an appointment with them. You can call and book appointment and if urgent just go there in the morning. They will need your HAP ID, yellow card showing polio vacc..and ur intl passport. Make photocopies of the passport and the yellow card including the polio vacc page. Then 2 passport photograph.. about the outcome, my CO is still stressing me asking for more documents everyday. I don tire sef... I'm curious, what more documents are you been asked for?, was your initial lodgment devoid of supporting documents? |

WestAfrican: I only gave you an example using Qld. Jobs are in Sydney, Melbourne and depending on your field or trade you may find jobs in regional areas too. Between, getting a PR after your PhD is pretty much easy. WestAfrican, I Pm'ed you. I have a background in Petroleum Engineering (PE)....what regions are best for a PE job? |

WestAfrican: Download the app gumtree or click on this url if you are on pc/mac www.gumtree.com.au click on home/browse/real-estate/ sharedroom . You can get a few days rent (use your gps to check for locations close to ur uni) before moving on.
Your benefits as a PHD student is greater than any other degree (s). You have unlimited work hours. Have chances of working with your supervisor (s) and getting paid. You can teach in primary school (if you'r confident in a subject and have good teaching skills -thou it may be difficult if you have a very strong accent. If you have a good rapport with your supervisor, you can decide to find a job in Qld while studying at NSW.
In Aus you must think ahead and act fast otherwise you will float. Thanks Westafrican for this wonderful tip, with guys like you my sojourn to Aussie land can't go wrong. I'd exploit all the options you've listed But what is with Qld - Queensland....is that where the 'jobs' are? |

Osamuzi: Aiit please send me an email osgecompany@gmail.com... Am going for PhD Osamuzi, how is it coming?.. Any luck yet on your eCOE?, why is it taking so long and why were you required to pay that large sum of tuition upfront to be granted a conditional offer, not even unconditional. For me tho, I was told to deposit a sum of $6000 only as regards tuition. |

I still don't have all those specifics yet. Pls guys in the house, help us answer these questions.... time is of the essence here. Observant: Bros i wish to know exactly what prove of funding you are using as the new ssvf say;
1.) Your personal Time deposit, statement of account, etc Showing living expenses of 19870 and tuition for 12months.
2.) or that of your your parents or spouse only. So probably siblings are not allowed to sponsor you.
So which one are you using.
I intend using my personal statement and fixed deposit.
Also anybody with info can talk about this please plus how much in naira expected to be in the account |

FutureDon: @ POTUSUK - I can see that Bellong has answered your questions. Just a question, you are applying for a student visa, right? I thought that this application needs to be submitted at Teleperformance.
...and yes, you do not need an Australian address to lodge an application for student visa. FutureDon.....that was prior to July 1st 2016. Now, submission is done online. I'd just need to go do biometrics at Teleperformance. |

POTUSUK: Great people of the house... I greet you all
Please, I am lodging my visa online and they are asking for an evidence of Genuine Temporary Entrant Requirement as a supporting document?. I have read about it but I am not so sure I understand what it means. Is it a letter I would have to get from my school? or i'd just attach some random files showing financial capacity, English language etc.
2. Then again, I am also to write a letter statement for GTE (2000 characters) - is it the same as a statement of purpose?
3. Since I haven't secured accommodation yet, while filling the visa form, is it ideal to leave it blank?
4. I read somewhere about police report. I'm I to get one?
5. Talking about CVs, Is there a particular format for CV I should use? I read somewhere on the thread that there is an Australian format of writing CVs.
Muchas Gracias.... as I await your response. |

Mzurch: if ur in Nigeria kindly go to their office abeg, tried it early this year they frustrated me, and told me to pay extra 9k plus 16k I paid online. Find out which size of passport is available, if it's 32 or 64. lol...16K+9k = 25K ... since the default price in their office is 25K. |
