EGPRS,better known as EDGE(Enhanced Data ratesfor GSM Evolution), is more like an upgrade of GPRS(General Packet Radio Service). It bridges the gap between Grps and 3G technologies, Its certainly not as fast as 3G, but its wat faster than G. It is generally classified as 2.7G.It is however capable of offering about everything 3G currently offers. Being relatively cheaper, to install(onlly base stations need to be modified, compared to 3G), it is growing rapidly. so of you can't afford a 3G phone, rather go for this(its hard to find a phone that supports Edge without 3G included, though ) .Read more about it here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhanced_Data_Rates_for_GSM_Evolution |
Sup yal!Anyone know something about celtel's Edge? |
Does anyone know something about Egprs? Heard its way faster than the normal Gprs |
hansibone:my exams went well, thanks |
hey guys, mms is back and probably better. Enjoy! |
hey guys wats up, I just came back from some horrible exams tour, Whats new? What did I miss? ![]() |
hi guys, sorry i've been very busy of late, Concerning the alternative to ultrasurf i told you about, its called anonymity4proxy you can download it here:http://www.shareup.com/Anonymity_4_Proxy-download-5700.html or here http://www.brothersoft.com/anonymity-4-proxy---a4proxy-download-7907.html I think the top is shareware, while the lower is free(same version, crazy people!) Tell me if it works, I no get time men, |
Hey i used to use turbo, but its only useful when you use normal and slow dial-up, like starcomms. It has no effect on celtel. By the way, after a deep search, I finally found another alternative to ultrasurf. I don't know if i should post it now, maybe some of you know it already, i'm yet to test it though, as soon as i do and its working, I'll let yal know, ![]() |
yea, i still use ultrasurf, but the connection speed is horribly slow, so it hardly connects and stay connected |
Hey, I can be of great help. I'm a php web developer. I also work with AdobeFlexbuilder and Coldfusion. email is powerblaze@gmail.com |
I'm trying to find a software that can boost surfing speed(download and all). The ones i got seem to just eat out of the remaining bandwith. Any idea? |
adewaleafolabi:What's the system configuration? I have a compaq, but I could get someone interested |
Hey I'm interested. My email is powerblaze@gmail.com Thanks |
Hey Bones, wherez the stuff you posted? Lemme see, I wanted to post some of ma stuff here, but lemme see wats going around first |
Sup yal, i kina think celtel Engineers or whoever is in charge of the MMS plug or maybe a switch, doesn't work on weekends. See its working now, ![]() |
Well, the em em s seems to be back afterall, Problem with proxies is that its kina relative to zones set up by the network, so one working proxy in lagos might not work outside of it, except the general one, try the tracert command on the 172.23.1.12, should get you new proxies, and if you use vista, along with the ports! Or just get a proxy port scanner software |
sup yal! see you trying out the proxies! i've been very busy, else i would have shopped for more, I got an interview to attend tomorow, wish me luck, For those of you who use glo browsing, try www.gmailproxy.com, it open gmail and other secure sites very well |
hey wats u yal! Just stumbled on the em em s hrdle Haven't had time for it, I even lost the list where i kept my proxies. any clue? |
Well, I guess celtel Engineers had the weekend off for easter, coz its back, in its usual way. |
Hey guys I'm back! Did some travelling. Hey wats up with celtel?Like it aint working, though my proxy works, anyway, I got some programming to do, brb, |
Sup yal! I'm a big fan of adobe flexbuilder2 and 3. I've been able to do great stuffs with it. Does anyone know where I can get pdf tutorials on it? |
Hey, my name is Felix, I'm a student at Aptech. I have good knowledge of php/mysql, the general web packages(Adobe dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks). I also have fundamental knowledge of Adobe flexbuilder, and action scrpit 3.0 Call me and lets talk: 07028027011, mail is powerblaze@gmail.com |
@ tobs Under program options, go to proxy, select use MS Internet Explorer-sever settings yeah, rather, forgot, |
Freegate was initially made for folks in countries such as china and iraq where the internet is restricted by the government. it may not work in every other country, as the proxy servers might narrow down the regional IPs to specific countries tobs:check ida connection settings and make sure the proxy listed there is the same for ultra-surf, else it wont work |
Hey guys! I I'm currently into a research on mobbile intranet(possibility, challenges). Anyone whos got an idea post something |
Simply put, you escaped the session trap set by the java servlets. |
Hey info that freegate stuff, how well does it work? i know it was made for the chinese and iraqis. |
Hey wats up guys1 How're you enjoying your free shizzle? Right now i'm learning how to use a software(flexbuilder 3), so i may not be constantly around. Be sure to get hints every now and then. i see no one even tried the proxies i posted. anyway, don't ask me for it when celtel decides to end all frivolities with their insatiable customers! ![]() |
Hey whats up yal! I've been trying my hands on a whole lota stuff. Yeserday, was able to get another proxy, but it appeared to also link to the wap gateway subscription page. I then decided to change the port link from 8080 to just 80. Woa, It led me to a site, I think its in charge of celtel's account or something, but it had a big "Username and password thingy." for studies here are them 172.21.1.20 8080 or 80 172.21.1.22 8080 or 80 172.23.1.20 8080 or 80 172.23.1.22 8080 or 80 I feel there are many more, and probably some are restricted to certain areas or networks or something. Does anyone have a port scanner software? I need it. we just have to find a way to bypass the gateway links, and i haven't gotten a clear view. Anyone good at this do carry on, |
abibio2001:yea, it works, many thankz to the makers of ultrasurf. Its the best probably the best anonymous surfer around. I haven't tried it on other networks, but i doubt if it would work, especially on MTN, as their server side configuration settings are very different. In case you didn't know, they all get their config from this site: wapforum.org. |
well, looks like no one can let us enjoy something in peace! The proxy has just been added to the subscription page. AnywaY, THANKS to ultrasurf, we still have a chance. Its nicely fast, maybe because few or no one knows it yet. If you need it, yim me with creative reasons why you need it, and you're sure to get it. Maybe if we know how to attack servers with commands like tracert, nslookup, ipconfig, etc, we could really get some great stuff. I cracked my way to celtel's login page, but couldn't get past the locked pages as it required username and password. Change your proxy to 172.23.1.23 to work on that. They have several admin pages. God help them if i crack that password! |
Hey Guys wats up Yall! Sorry for the break in transmission. As usual, its due to circumstances beyond my control. Well, i got good news for yal. While testing my hands on celtel, I was able to get a working proxy server address. Way faster than 172.18.254.5 8080. I'm so glad i was able to really do some raw stuff on my own. As for the overclocking stuff, well its simply like this. Most systems in general are made to work on certain restricted basics, hence stuff like *FCC COMPLIAINT*, meaning that the system is made for condusive use only. However, such limit can be bypassed and made to work at extreme levels. At a research test some years back, mobile bluetooth limit(100meters) was bypassed, seeing it receiving signals from way over a hundred feet. i can't remember the site where i got that now, but anyway, for some mobile phones, overclocking includes enhanced vocal clarity, boosted signal reception, and optimised data transfer. in order to save battery power and life span, these features were disabled in most phones. Guess it was improved for 3G phones or something. Like i said, it could complicate the function of the phones; the makers aint dumb. Its like giving a kid A-level maths to solve. The phones might just go on strike(crash!) for your benefit. |
