Visiting Africa for the first time to take part in the 11 December spectacular, US rapper Rick Ross has been described by the New York Times as “one of rap’s most potent and creative forces”. The tattoo-loving, six-foot, larger-than-life rap figure first came to attention with “Hustlin”, his 2006 debut single. Influenced by artists like Luther Campbell and Notorious B.I.G, Ross, a.k.a. William Roberts, aimed to put Miami back in rap's national spotlight and went on to do just that with his 2006 album “Port of Miami”, which went to number one on the Billboard album chart. Similar acclaim followed for “Trilla” (2007) and “Deeper Than Rap” (2009), while his 2010 album release “Teflon Don”, which debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, has garnered critical acclaim for its emotional depth, cinematic production, sleek, synth-heavy beats, and rich soundscapes. Ross is nominated in the Best International category at the MAMA awards http://powerednews..com/2010/11/rick-ross-to-perform-at-mtv-mama-awards.html

make una wait!! yes, i knew it. i knew my comments would raise the ire of some folks in this forum. but let's face it: how about issues with armed robbery, kidnappings, blatant corruption without fear of repercursions, 419, drug trafficking, etc, etc? does nigeria not overwhelming trump ghana in all of these and more? c'mon, let's be serious. like i said, don't kill the messenger. the whole world knows about us naijas.\\ @angrynaija Omo ur ID gan show say u dey vex, me o vex for naija pas u oo, we r suppose to be the leader but w are the back wader , lok at south Africa, i respect them, look at Nigeria , promise , now we are approaching 2011, no light, who cares if Lagos is the most populous, a nation with no constant electricity is doomed, That is the reason i give credits to Ghana, Imagine the whole of Nigeria federation Almost six years later in 2005 the electricity capacity available for use is less than 2000MW even now also. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-305370.32.html @otumfour Dont mid dem our ignorant Nigerians brothers who love to boast Nigeria is just an empty barbell who makes the loudest noise its my country i know everything about the system lets call a spade a spade |
Hahaha small time, with in next 3 yrs, ME AND MY FAMILY GO BUY AM |
@honeric01 I haven't said anything about Lagos or Nigeria being 100% developed or lacks slums, we have slums and it's part of the city, but coming here to tell me all parts of Nigeria or Lagos is slum is rubbish, so bro you can only see what you want to see and since Lagos and Nigeria is bad and backward to you, it will remain backward and bad to you, if you see Nigeria and Lagos as a place where people cannot make it, then you can never make it here either, so i suggest you move to Ghana, it will save the rest of us time, the time you spend on the roads, the space you occupy in Lagos and Nigeria at large will be removed from the time the rest of us need to get to our various destinations.Ol boy kool down, I am not saying that I cant mak it in Ngeria.Ok Mr Nigeria whether u follow dey chop national cake that why you dey here dey talk, I no go lie This Nigeria is a disgrace to all its citizen, can you imagine our level of currpution and mismanagement, people can take loan to do small business, the left to what poverty, see in a land of abundance it pains me to see women with kids begging on the road, pregnant women also begging in bustop and able bodied men also begging, what is life? I am not saying that there are no beggars in other part of he world, ut at our level in this Nation our leaders must be held responsible, they have impoverish our future, do you know how many families sleep hungry , o!!!!!! in a blessed nation |
you prefer to live in the slum of Lagos? gosh, you should be in Ghana by now bro.Hey almost everybody in Lagos live in Ghettos, infact there are more ghettos in Lagos jare, its not our fault, its the fucking government who dont wanna build cheap housing units for its citizens, @ SSaemoenl First of all wtf are you talking about? I could not even understand BUT from what I am guessing you are trying to say Gyan is gay, that I am Haitian and you attempted to diss Ghana. Secondly I will say GYAN is not gay and you need to stop hating, I am not Haitian but Jamaican-American and lastly Ghana is not going to disappear from the face of the Earth because ppl have a problem with its people.Quit all these Gay topic here Ok, dude, @scholes0 GBAM!!!! +10Hahaha well how is Akure na, hope its like paradise , its a very old town, why are you there, come to Big ciy and live life , if you can make it in Lagos you can make it anywhere in the fucking earth |
It is a big shame that even Nigerians Criticize The Country, when they don't really know much about recent developments in the country, Even some that left the shores of this Great Nation as far back as the 1980's still open their mouth wide and start blabbing ''this and that'' God bless you Bro , exactly my point of view , naija nah ego , most Nigerians even posting here dont live in Nigeria , most of them are probably Nigerians with second citizenship in Europe or America , Dont mind them , The real Nigerians leaving in places like KETU ALAPERE , or those from ORITA MERIN (in Ibadan) wont even argue about Nigeria better than TOGO , in between most constant internet users are those outside the country , Bro ignore them .naija and mouthTRUTH !!!!!!!!BRO @honeric01 Thanks for those pic but i dont need them these are places I pasz thru almost everyday face to face in Lagos, I know Lagos in and out more than you know you may be somewhere in UK OR US, dreaming of home, with pic of Lagos on your laptop, hahahahaha why dont you coem home and eat and hustle make body tell you, that why if you read my post here you will find that I praised Gov Fashola, for all these, good roads and all that arrangement, formerly Lagos was a mess, |
See look I know Lagos is a Mega city but let us face the truth Ghana is more transparent, why are you posting pictures of Ikoyi, Lekki ,Victoria ISLAND Lagos here LL THOSE AREA ARE THE HIGH BROW AREA OF LAGOS, Wat happened to our Slums, Ok, its everywhere, even in Ghana, ok I can go to Ghana to do holiday , cos i love it there Ok.U talking about Lagos a city where even i the poorest slum accomodation is very expensive with agent and agreement charges, I rep Lagos weller, its a city to be, Ok @alj harem i live in lagos Ok, |
@otumfour I am Naija, well I truly appreciate your topic, and support you, I have been to Accra.2004 and the electricity did not go off for good one month i stayed in the Ghetto of Nima, I was shocked, and surprised that since when i was a kid in the early 80's till that date, I have never seen electricity not been interrupted, I was ashamed for our Mighty Nigeria, @otumfour Thanks again dont mind all those our Nigerians who are blind and stupidly supporting their useless ego.Let me tell you Ghana is better than Nigeria in many ways of transparency and development, lets forget Oil and Land mass and Population, forget all that bullshit, there is damm poverty in the Land of abundance of silly people who manage it we have a wicked tribalism system in Nigeria which is killing us, When i first saw the city of Accra, at Night i saw light , and good roads networks, i was proud that time i visited, by then the almighty Lagos was rotten and unkempt was a yeye garbage city .with no good beautification just populated with people running helter skelter, hustlin and bustlin , but I am sure Governor Fashola peep from Accra city and use that Idea to beautify Lagos today , which is just nice , now the road network is just ok BRT transport system, Dont Mind Nigerians they copy from Accra city system and who says Abuja is better than Accra, I wold choose Accra to Abuja, because Abuja is a corrupt city full of Hotels, to useless people money and nothing but love-peddlers everywhere how many Nigerian can affford all those beautiful houses in ABJ its damm expensive. for fund stealers and their lazy family, Thunder will fire all of them, and there is poverty, heavy poverty in Abuja also the remote area, see children, wailing n poverty in the land of their fathers..WHY WHY NIGERIA GHANA AND NIGERIA ARE ONE, BUT I MUST SAY GHANA OUTWEIGH NIGERIA, I DONT CARE IF I AM NIGERIAN, WHY ARE INDUSTRIES LEAVING NIGERIA TO GHANA. THE ANSWER-CONSTANT ELECTRICITY, WHICH I SAY THUMBS , THAT IS WHAT YOU USE TO JUDGE A COUNTRY ADVANCEMENT AND FORESIGHT, NOT OIL MISMANAGEMENT AND CURSE, EDUCATION IS ZERO HERE , HEALTH MANAGEMENT ZERO, CHURCHS EVERYWHERE AND AINT TRUTHFUL, INTERSTATE ROAD IS A DEATH TRAP,WHO CARES IF NIGERIA HAS SILVER BIRD CORPORATION IN GHANA, AND ACROSS AFRICA, MY NIGERIA IS A COUNTY WITH SWEET TALKER, AS IT IS EASIER SAID THAN DONE, I am a typical Lagos city boi, from the hoods and knows the streets and sufferance of an average Naija citizen, now can some one tell me something i dont know about Nigeria, I can sense that most naija people that post a reply on this topic are not sincere, that may be some well to do people who has never seen the streets harshness before, |
