There were about 6 traffic officers trying to stop him as seen in the video.
Just 2 korofo army officers would have stopped him.
Why is it like that ? Discuss. |

nairavsdollars: I saw the video and I blame the father of the deceased. Such a deranged animal. How can you drive so recklessly with a child in the car? He killed that poor boy The surviving twin brother will never forgive him. The mother of the children will never forgive him. His own conscience will continue to judge him. Such careless and irresponsible behaviour even in the presence of the children |

awesomeJ: Guys, someone here asked a few days back why stocks like Airtel still needed 100k units for a price change.
To him, my response is: The volume needed was indeed tiered as you expect only a few years back, with stocks above just #100 needing only 10k units for a price change.
But people were then easily distorting the index with price movements on stocks like Dangote cement (needed only 2.2m then)
To everyone, my take is that, that rule probably needs to be adjusted to reflect new market realities.
At the time it was introduced, only NESTLE was priced above 1000, today we have GEREGU, AIRTELAFRI and SEPLAT too some having done 10x in the intervening period.
My proposal: Let's revert to allowing 10k units cause a price change (maybe this time for stocks above N1000) provided the ticker hasn't had a price movement for up to 30 days (new clause to guide against the index distortion concern).
I think this adjustment is needed to help stocks like Airtel and SEPLAT which have such wide disparity between the prices in London and Lagos.
I'll try to send an email to the NGX public contact, please send this proposal too if it makes sense to you(add your voice), also if you have private communication access to the team there, maybe raise it too.
The market could be doing extra N5bn per week on these two if they weren't so blocked. Tell the person it is not automatic that there must be a price change each time 100k units of a stiock are transacted. |

Omoawoke: Whoever advised jamb to make a public apology is the most idiotic person in the world of corporate image..
First you made a mistake, second you made a stupid judgement to come online and make an apology..
People don’t understand human psychology and public perception.. the public isn’t that bright.
Chai!!!
In critical decision making, picking between two tough decisions…. you think it thoroughly and look at the long term effect of your decisions… make an apology now and lose an entire public trust over the years and future??
There are better ways to have gone about this… you could have called for a second jamb for everyone in later part of the year…. Something like second chance maybe in July to write jamb due to mass failure… The pubic will praise you for your goodness, and you internally deal with the situation and punish who needs to be punished… win win situation..
Now you tarnish your image, public trust!!! Worst of all bringing opportunities for people to start a tribal argument over nonsense
And the crazy thing is glitch or no glitch… many kids will still fail… now they all have the perfect excuses Brilliant. The most brilliant piece I have read in this platform in a long time. |

discusant: But what are the Igbos waiting for? Is it not yet time for Igbo leadership to collect all the evidences of Igbo marginalisation by Nigeria and present them to the UN for a BiafraExit talk?
No country, including Nigeria, was given sovereignty by the UN to undermine progress and survival in a section of the country. It's more than 60 years that Nigeria has been using every method it likes to undermine the Igbos and Igboland. Would it not have made sense if MNK had taken that step. instead of putting a bounty on someone else's head and calling for the burning down of institutions in addition to asking that police and army personnels. should be killed? One would. have thought that the much touted British army that your ilk were boasting will come and rescue their citizen would have been here by now. |

DeLaRue: There is no other country in the world where people obsess needlessly about small movements in their currency.
The Naira has been very stable since before the beginning of the year, and this year so far, average volatility has been around 2%.
That's a solid performance that has driven currency speculators into redundancy. Speculation is mostly dead.
Every currency moves either way. What's important is the movements should be relatively small. That's where the naira is right now.
The CBN has done an excellent job of making the Naira stable. It is not about the obsession with the small movement in the currency rate. Rather: * It is about something to jubilate about all in the name of insulting whoever. * It is about being jubilant because their dream of N2000/dollar is about coming to pass. * It is about having their regular dose of news that fuel their energy. * It is most importantly about showcasing their level of ignorance even when they claim they are educated. |

The rumour may be true but it's nothing spiritual, the discolouration is as a result of a chemical reaction. My conclusion is that the rice has been preserved with a deadly pesticides or it was deliberately laced to kill people. Do well to show us the one that turned green. |
