Yes I agree, which is why they are being punished for years. Normally even before CBN axe, Acess should not be 22.9 but it is mainly due to governance issue. I personally have issue with their style of acquisition because I know it is a way to manipulate to carry cash enter plane go where we no know😀😀. I also feel most of the CBN rules are mainly because of the likes of Access Bank even though those rules have been there but not being implemented. So they are more or less the elder brother of Oando. Having said that, there could be an opportunity for one to change their way and return to their God😀😀😀 which may then help the shares price.

I think Zenith is stronger in terms of fundamentals, and pays much higher dividends than FBN, so it is favoured in the long term.

I can assure you, Access can not and will not meet up with Zenith dividend in the next three or five years.

The AGM was a charade and AIG sounded more like a typical politician than a bank executive. “Let shareholders pray for Access bank and bla bla nonsense”
Access bank needs an activist investor to wake up the management and challenge their ownership grip on the institution.

Activist investor will find it difficult to penetrate if you acknowledge the fact that AIG himself na guy man. Besides, they own the majority of the shares through various means, proxies inclusive.

The solution na make person leave their bank for them.

Instead of praying for Access, I will take the time praying for HELL RUFAI.

Yes you are right. He also mentioned that they have put forward a roadmap to resolving everything to CBN and hopfully aCBN will approve it. I actually watched his body language during the AGM and it was clear that they won't pay interim dividend but year end depends on what they are able to do before then in terms of the roadmap. I see Access Bank being punished further when other big shots are declaring interim dividends
