Na days like this my people dey call " bad day, devil drink water".

To all those emotionally "wunjored", please accept my SINpathies.

If we are to be truthful to ourselves, we Arsenal fans are used to it. It is just that it did not come in January as usual.

Granit Xhaka spent donkey years in Arsenal without winning a plastic trophy.

The young man is on the verge of winning the Budensliga.

May we all get our reward in it's due season.

They are the worst form of Obidients .They infuse their own innate ungrateful, boastful and gradiosely deluded attitude to their movement.

They think AIRPEACE will just buy jets and start flying without FG and minister of Aviation licence. Or they know but jusy want to hide the truth to massage their ego as usual.

The same way they gave the glory of power plant built by Bart Nnaji for good 17yrs to Alex otti who became governor within 6months

Thanks my brother.

I expressed my disappointment at the fact that no one seem to be giving Keyamo some credit in another thread concerning this issue.

Why are we like this as a people?

I am always tempted to believe that the bulk of idiotic Nigerians are on the social media.

With all due respect, it is only the ignorant that will not give Keyamo' credit for what he has done for Air peace.

I do not expect you to know. And if peradventure you know, I do expect you to keep to the tradition of never acknowledging any good done by someone your ilk always love To hate.

Business / Re: BDCs Back CBN’s Directive Stopping Use Of Domiciliary Accounts As Collateral by ppogba: 9:41pm On Apr 11
Fiscus105:

It's not crazy, at time when you use your own money to finance a business, you may not serious enough with the business, but wen you have money in the banks as collateral for loan you take from same bank, .....you would sit up and focus more on the business, for you to be able to repay your loan and gain profit.

Your mentality would be that, I'm using someone's money to do business and not my own money.

Just like when you are doing daily/ weekly contribution vs keeping your money in ur bank account.

You will work harder to pay contribution, why u might not so serious when u re taking ur savings to ur account in the bank.

Your argument does not cut it.
Every credit facility has a collateral attached to it whether cash backed or in any form. The collateral pledged is an incentive to work hard and offset your loan.

The bad thing about having a dollar balance as a collateral for a credit facility is that the dollar amount is tied down doing nothing while at the same time stifling liquidity in the system.

Why should someone bring in forex with the purpose of doing business in the country only to tie same down in an account and obtain a loan. For the impact even on rhe loan side, go and read more about your demand and supply.

A woman was paid #8.2m as her retirement benefits some months ago by the FG.

She took #7.5m out of it to buy dollars in January at about #1,300 or thereabouts. I advised her against the practice but she told me she would sell it by December when it would have gotten to #5,000/$.

As we speak now, she's sick at home, her selfish and self centered hope has been dashed.

I don't know why someone would wish that over 200m people should suffer for him or her to be rich.

If the dollar had reached N2500, the same woman will be part of those lam blasting the government but will not be bold enough to tell people what is the source of her own inward joy.
That is a typical Nigerian for you.

It's "technical" but there's something called Cash-backed loan where you use the money (in this case USD) you have in a bank as collateral to take a loan from the bank. It sounds crazy and weird I know. But it's a thing. So what CBN is saying is that Banks can no longer use FX as the Cash collateral for the loan.

And in addition to what you wrote will free up dollars that are idle in DOM accounts and enhance liquidity.

BDCs are every where the world over.

It is just the proliferation that is the problem with Nigeria.
They are there to take care of a segment and ordinarily should be well regulated.

Who would make him president through a janjaweeeed party? he wept at the apc convention, Rochas wept after speaking all the Hausa, Fulfulde and other languages; Nwajiuba wept, Ngige gave up earlier. Islamic Republic of Nigeria is the objective of the inner circle founders of APC. They left the legacy of the first Muslim-Muslim ticket since 1999, the first Muslim president to succeed a Muslim president since 1999, and a possible 24 years of Muslim presidency for Nigeria from 2015.

How.come you did not remember that Obi wept too.

Perhaps, weeping is a common denominator over there.

There are certain tribes in Nigeria who when their people are in any small position of authority, their code of omertà is nepotism. The Fulani, the Yoruba and the Ika people of Delta State! Whatever is going on with any of these groups in the CBN no concern anybody, because "chop alone die alone" is still a basic law of nature. cool

I am surprised you did not remember to mention the tribe that rejected a Catholic bishop just because he is not from a particular section of their own tribe.

Next week dollar will rise back , after the holiday

These are cosmetic solutions ..

Even a Pry 6 can do what CBN is doing at the moment .

I don’t know why many Nigerians are dumb..

Is this not the same thing EMIFELIE did?

The demand for dollar is low now because of government policy somersault.. once people start requesting for dollar , things will go south.

People who do business with dollar are still observing, it won’t be long before they start trading with dollar and the demand Increases.

If we don’t consume what we produce , we are going nowhere ..

Small rain, this cosmetic solution go wash off like Bobrisky face

What is currently happening in CBN should be extended to NNPC as well...

You can't just be collecting humongous salaries and allowances under zero productivity....

That is what is happening in NNPC for donkey years...

Infact a case in point is the kaduna refinery,...that place as a while should be shut down and everywhere sent home..because absolutely nothing is going on there rather their over head cost is increasing

Same with Warri Refinery.
