Do not play the weather card. It is an old wives tale. The thermostat is there to serve a function regardless of the ambient temperature. Yes it helps warm the engine faster in cold climates.
It also helps warm the engine faster in hot climates and keeps the engine at the optimum temperature required for optimum performance.
There are so many countries hotter than Nigeria where cars still use thermostats.
When the engine is cool, it closes to warm up the engine. When the engine is warm, it opens to allow cool water from the radiator flow into the engine and hot water from the engine flow into the radiator. It is that simple.
Thermostat is not the only or overwhelming cause of overheating.
If it gets bad, replace it. If your fan or water pump goes bad, dont you replace it?
Cars have been imported from UAE into Nigeria and they came in with their thermostats. Is Nigeria hotter than UAE?
There are states in USA where you can literally fry an egg on the streets. It gets that hot. Blazing hot. Yet the cars we import from there still come here with their thermostats intact.

If anyone wants to remove his thermostat, by all means he is free to do so, after all it's his car. But there will be other consequences apart from the supposed overheating he is preventing or curing.
Engine is dying a slow death. Won't be long before blue smoke shows up especially on fuel injection engines. Less so on carbureted engines. Thank you.

3 Obaseki did not leave the APC because he wanted to - Oshomole using the NWC disqualified him - and he exhausted every means to have the party's leader - Gen. Buhari step in and Buhari does not give a F ..K about anyone but himself - so he left - Many APC big shots are angry about how a sitting GOVERNOR was treated - some voiced their opinion - eg Giadom and co, others just locked up and feel indifferent eg El Rufai. At the state level many were disappointed and left the party with Obaseki and while some like Ojezua did not leave but are now dangerous moles sowing tares among the wheat from within

4. Those resigning from his government are Oshomole loyalist - these were people who were appointed in the first place because Osho reconmended them to Obaseki which is more than 50% of Obaseki's appointees - so if they will not follow Obaseki to PDP because that is a strange terrain for them - then Obaseki has to fire them because PDP wont allow Osho people to be privy to their strategies, who does that ? it is risky and Obaseki was gentlemanly enough not to fire them but gave them the dignity to resign so they wont bear that dent that they were fired. Trust me, all of them that resigned did not do that suddenly - they were asked to resign by Obaseki - that is what civilized people do, like here in the US - when public officials resign, they most likely were asked to in secret - but if they prove stubborn then they are publicly disgraced with a sack - so there is no big deal there - I understand you think they abandoned Obaseki because that is how people think of resignation in Africa - but they were fired because of disloyalty

5. ADAMS with APC structure disqualifying a seating Governor ? Sir - you seem not to follow this Obaseki matter or you took kaikai this evening ? It is Oshomole who proved not to have any structure because his own ward chairman - the respected Chief Ashawo F c ked Osho up 2,000 times before the cock crowed- that is his own ward chairman - that is the definition of a baby politician - Oshomole. A man who did not know where his authority flowed from to protect it and he got screwed up - Obaseki was not disqualified by anyone in or from Edo State - He was disqualified by a NWC spearheaded and giving the marching orders by Oshomole- any id io t of a national chairman can pull that off in far away Abuja on any sitting Governor anywhere - THE PROOF OF STRUCTURE FAILED OSHO BECAUSE EVEN BUHARI WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE BABOON THAT HE COULD NOT MANAGE HIS OWN WARD AND HERE HE IS ORDERING EVERYONE AROUND IN ABUJA - the same Osho went to court trying to defend what he can not understand that if he is suspended at the ward level he can not preside at the national level
