It's never a crime but if you understand the story well, you will see that it's their arrogance that makes them not want to associate with other people. They think they are bigger than everybody because their first son is having his B.sc, not Masters or Ph.d

And Gbemi couldn't fight for their love because of some dammed relatives who neglected him b4.
He allowed his family control him....
