AndSunGorilla: To me sir, unlike you, it seems you are looking at the list from a tribalistic lens. My guess is that because of the many Northern origin names on the list, you have already written them off. Truth is, most of us don't know many U21 players to recommend, and you have never seen these guys play to form a conclusion whether or not they are good. How many Northerners have come thru the youth ranks into the highest level for Nigeria? Most of our best talents in all sports have come from the south. This is like France selecting mostly white players from Monaco to play for them. Logic sef how many Northerners play for the Super Falcons who are 10x champions? Selecting players Different players from different regions have always given us the edge in football because players from different regions have unique attributes that other countries simply dont have but we are misusing it now with this useless NFF who appoint coaches based on tribal sentiments. |

Ever since Assisat Oshoala Nigeria has yet to unveil an exciting attacking player from the U17s and U20s. Other countries are discovering ballers and we Nigeria are sleeping. No grassroots. Most of the players playing in this U20 qualifiers played in the U15 CAF school cup. Where is Nigeria? We have never taken part in that competition since its inauguration. A big effing shame. This NFF is just useless. If Ibrahim Gasau stays in office for another 4 years Nigeria football is finished. |

TheSuperNerd: Follow-Up: Super Falcons’ UK Trip Called Off After Jamaica Pull Out
Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, will no longer embark on their planned training tour of the United Kingdom later this month after their proposed Caribbean opponents, Jamaica, withdrew from the arrangement, SavidNews can confirm.
The United Kingdom trip as exclusively reported by SavidNews, initially scheduled for May 23 to 28, was expected to provide the Super Falcons with valuable preparations ahead of the Morocco 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will also serve as qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Nigeria Football Federation had arranged the friendly to make up for the team’s inactivity during the March FIFA international window when planned matches failed to materialise.
Some senior and regular members of the squad were already expected to miss the tour due to club commitments, while plans had also been made for another friendly during the June 7 to 14 FIFA international window.
Head coach Justine Madugu had hoped to use the UK friendly to assess new players, test fresh options, and further strengthen his squad ahead of WAFCON.
However, the cancellation by the Caribbean side has now forced the proposed UK camping programme to be called off.
A top Nigeria Football Federation official, who spoke anonymously, explained that the initiative for the proposed match originally came from the Jamaican Football Federation due to the large number of their players based in Europe, particularly in the United Kingdom.
“The initial plan for the friendly in the UK was proposed by our Jamaican counterparts considering the huge number of their players in Europe, especially UK. However, we were still in talking process with the team but the friendly was later canceled due to few administrative issues,” the official said.
“The single-friendly match could have helped us see some new players and also help the coach step up his preparation for the WAFCON. However, we are now focused on the June window as we’ll secure two-legged friendlies to be played in Nigeria with a WAFCON-bound team. We are already finalizing the process.”
Nigeria remain Africa’s defending champions after winning a record-extending 10th continental title last summer, with the technical crew continuing efforts to build a competitive squad for future international assignments.
Source: SavidNews You guys keep believing NFFs lies. They never had any friendlies planned. Just audio like the Cape Verde fiasco. |

This is pure cope. Eze and Saka were right there but we fumbled it because of our incompetent FA. Those 2 alone would have easily improved our NT 5 fold. We had the likes of Edna Imade who wanted to play for Nigeria but your useless NFF and incompetent coach of the falcons still managed to fumble that too. Yes DRC is not an elite African team now but they will soon be. Give them another 4 years. Remember they were the big dog in the 70s. The have the heritage. Where was Senegal and Morocco 10 years ago? Where was Senegal and Morocco in 1994? Today they are the best 2 teams in Africa while the likes of Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana of yesteryears are sliding into irrelevance. We have seen time without # if you invest in your football, you will reap the rewards later on. That means investing in grassroots, Infrastructure development and now in the diaspora as well. Nigerians in general are not interested in any of that. We only want wuru wuru to the answer and that will take us nowhere. Keep coping while the likes of Morocco, Senegal, Cape Verde etc forge ahead. |

The CAF U20 Qualifiers format for the male category is truly satanic. U17 and U20 men's qualification process is designed intentionally to limit the # of west African teams. |

Alozie doesn’t stay out injured for long though, but again Shukurat OLADIPO can step in as Right back if it comes to worse and with Nicole Payne return she can serve as Back up.
We have capable players but how to gel them together is the main thing.
Chinwendu Ihezuo Esther Okoronkwo Michelle Alozie
Are out for now with Ihezuo looking to miss out for sure except a Miracle.., Thank Goodness Uchenna Kanu is back to form. Any news on Ashley Plumptre? When will she be back to full fitness? |

BascoVanVeli: Michelle Alozie was subbed out after injury Our key players are getting injured weeks before WAFCON and the lack of preparation is making things worse because we cannot identify potential replacements in case of withdrawals. I will not be surprised if we fail to qualify for the womens World Cup. Justin Madugu is a clown for making excuses for the NFF instead of calling them out for their lack of preparations. |

I like the U17 coach appointment. He is young and coaches in one of the top academies in Nigeria. It was either him or Coach Olumide. The U20 coach OTOH looks like another clone of Bosso and Zubairu. I am not optimistic about his hiring. When will they announce the U23 coach? We have qualifiers in a few months. I hope they give the job to Siasia. |

What a disgrace. I think we may need to start looking for coaches in Morocco, Mali, and Senegal to coach our youth teams soon. We can't keep hiring failures like Bosso, Zubaru and Salisu Yusuf every year. They are part of the reason why our U17, U20 and U23 has been rubbish for 10 years plus. |

Smaller pacy strikers who fight for every ball Press opponents and are not afraid to run at defenses. It's the giant basketball strikers like onuachu, Sadiq and Arokodare that flop because they don't press. You have to constantly feed them in the box. |

Happy for Obafemi. I hope he has a good run in WWE. As for Brock, thanks for the memories. He was a beast back in the day. I feel like with social media Profesional wrestling has lost its mystique. Bret Hart, Kurt Angke, Shawn Michael, Mr perfect could wrestle and engage tell a story in the ring. Today it's not the same. |

Tell me how many short strikers that have led our striking force successful since you started watching super eagles, apart from Martins because of his speed and explosiveness, many times, our coaches would even prefer to use Ayegbeni instead of Martins even though Martins was better.
Our national team is always structured in such a way it doesn't usually favour short players especially our center forwards and center backs, any other positions can be considered but for center forwards and center backs, you have to be really really good to be considered. Coaches would not always come out to tell you these things, only Westerhorf have. How do you know? Has he been given an opportunity? Just talking Cho Cho Cho without any facts. |

kolanpas: No matter how you try to tarnish Islam, it will always keep shining. Sharia has always been the constitution of the North before the Christian British colonizer terrorised Nigeria and gave us their constitution with force. You can't impose your way on a country the is predominantly share by both Muslim and Christian. Muslim are asking you to follow their Shari'a but you want to force your way on them, isn't that hypocrite. You just want to cause unnecessary civil war if you think North will abandon Shari'a, you think the amended constitution that factored Shari'a into is mumu like some of you. Stop lying. Nigeria never had Sharia in its constitution. It was the Northern Governours that started imposing Sharia in 1999. If you want Sharia in your states then leave Nigeria. Its not by force to be one Nigeria with Islamists. Go and form your own country and leave Nigeria alone. |

The crazy part is that the same lawmakers who are pushing this sort of crap are the same set that are believ all Americans should be forced to practice their extreme Christian beliefs, such as denying women abortion and other rubbish.
The hypocrisy is annoying. What has Sharia law done aside from breed more jihadists and Islamists in the North?? How come no politician has been punished vis Sharia law? It was designed to oppress the poor. It should be abolished because it not only applies to Muslims but non-Muslims as well and Christins for instance end up being killed due to it. That's what happened to Deborah in Sokoto. |
