In a significant legislative development today, July 2, 2024, Senator Ned Nwoko’s bill advocating for the creation of Anioma State has successfully passed its first reading in the Senate. Representing the Delta North senatorial district, Senator Nwoko’s proposal aims to establish Anioma State by reorganizing the nine local government areas currently in Delta North.

The proposed Anioma State would encompass the local government areas of Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika North-East, Ika South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, and Ukwuani, with Asaba designated as the state capital.

This marks a crucial step in the legislative process, bringing Senator Nwoko’s vision for state creation closer to reality. The bill will now proceed to further readings and deliberations in the Senate.

I am shocked and surprised that headless mobs are not attacking US Supreme Court and cussing out their Supreme Court Justices. In US, immunity covers you after leaving office even when there are proofs of criminal offenses against you and prevent your criminal prosecution. But some group of headless mobs believe in their own delusion that Nigerian judicial system is the worst on earth. Maybe US justice system is also cash and carry.

Anioma is an acronym. The last two letters "MA" was only added for the sake of it. "MA" do not represent any ethnic community in Delta. It is as useless as a P in Psychology. Anioma is a multi ethnic group that was formed during the Midwestern region.
