MariaAngeles:
It won't be a bad idea at all

Fhemmmy:
Can you please tell those of us from different geo of Nigeria?

smartmom:
too funny, with all the years I spent as a child and youth in Jos and sokoto, drinking mai shai was one pleasure I never indulged in thanks to my clinical minded nurse mum .
I hear it's spiced with a bit of ginger. Their tea isn't thesame as homemade my bolder cousin regale us with the taste.

Not all place you can take shai in the north, there are some places you can't eat due to their environment

I haven't take their tea before just bread and Egg, including noodles.

MariaAngeles:

You can be so surprisingly funny when you want to be
Mai tea or is it mai shai style

Baby this is mai shai style..... After eating this today, the thought of converting my Bar to Mai shai stand cross my mind

sassysure:
So I saw this zucchini pan cake on YouTube and decided to do it and give u a run for your money.
It came out very bad. I just poured everything away
Wasted my ingredients.
Was so angry I didn't take anything to work.

I can relate imagine what was going through your mind at that moment.

Never give up, continue trying. You might get it right some day.

There's always a first time to everything..... Mi dispiace

Fhemmmy:
I like the way those pancakes were folded . . . .

Thanks Boss.

In Aboki way. Street food.

If you reside in the northern part of Nigeria, you gonna relate with the photo below. Tradition

After eating this,I placed my hand on my chest and pleage to Nigeria my country again for this delicious combination and Aboki method.

smartmom:
Sometimes the right kind of frying pan matters too. Nonstick good quality pans could make the difference. Also don't over heat the oil before pouring your batter

Yeah on point.

MariaAngeles:
That's beautifully creative .

Thank Dear

smartmom:
Loving the preserve abi jam there. Just need scrambled eggs and hot cup of my favourite hot cocoa to complete a yummy meal

I guess after this combination, work is cancel for the day

WildChild00:
Danke' dir

will try it out now!!

Gern geschehen

I look forward to see your post.

cococandy:
These are very flat. Almost like crepes.

American pancakes are thick and fat (very bready). Had to get used to them when I got here. I was like “this is what you call pancakes ?”.

I was used to pancakes being thin and flat like this.

I learnt the thin and flat pancake first, before seeing the thick and fat ones, which I think is the real pancake.

The flat pancake here in Nigeria is no wer close to cake, wrong name.

smartmom:
Looks the right colour and texture too. Not rubbery and looks fluffy too. Well done!

Thanks Mom.

sassysure:
Men and pancake.
I have never tried pancake before.
Men are always experts.

Chef prestonn, pls enlighten us.
Thank u

Especially Bachelors

You always make me laugh dear I am not a chef. A chef is a very specific career and description and what I try do is simply not the same compare to a chef.

WildChild00:
Pls share your recipy, I tired doing this yesterday, but it kept sticking to the pan, perhaps I never added some stuff....

Egg, flower, milk, sugar.....

You have the ingredients already, Egg, Flour, milk and sugar.

Just place your pan on fire and use vegetable oil, spray or butter to rub the pan to avoid sticking.

Pancake

cococandy:
End result after freezing overnight.
It was really good. You do not need any extra sugar. don’t be tempted to add sugar or you may not be able to eat it for too much sweetness. The sugar level like this is just perfect. Served in a Harris Teeter waffle bowl. I didn’t make the waffle bowl.

When am done figuring how to cross that border fence, your home gonna be my first place to visit

Looks beautiful and Yummy!!!

sassysure:
U really missed. I always try out new thing.
Smartmom, if preaston is a chef and he seems to be from the north, he will of course know how to make masa.
It's just that I don't live with him cos I can bribe him to be doing that for me everyday

I can deduct he is a patience man cos only the patience in nature can settle down and do that thing.

I learnt it from a friend Mum, who sell that for a living. So delicious.

You can have it everyday. A bottle of red wine in a day will do me

I smile sometimes whenever i see the word Chef close to my name

cococandy:
Oh lord. Gimme some of that. Looks so yummy

Anything for you Dear, you can have any

Gracias

MariaAngeles:
I'll be looking forward....

Yeah

smartmom:
You mean you can make masavings? . You must be genius guy! I know it's fermented Rice and spices etc but never dared to make it.

When I checked the money I spend in a month for masa alone, i had no option than to learn how to prepare it.

I always soak my rice overnight

If you like it, give a try

sassysure:

No.
Rice or with one other legume. We call it northern Akara.
White. The process is tedious. I have masa frying pan but never did it.

Seems u never journeyed to the north.

I even eat it more than akara
So addictive.

Missing this already, first thing am gonna cook when I get home. I don't think i can stay in a week without Masa.

One of my best street food

Looks good

Mine was 100% Vodka

Summer vibe
