Let the truth be told, they share similarities in culture and tradition likewise with Benin people also. The people of Ika kingdom are saying they are not igbo. I believe will should respect that fact. it's all about your Ethnicity and not similarities between culture and tradition. One love

Donarozzi:

I write with due respect to the elders of Agbor and the entire Igbo institutions in Agbor. I am of the impression that the elders of Agbor who are custodians of Igbo traditions are not comfortable with the way the current Dei of Agbor, Benjamin Ikechukwu, is piloting the affairs of their community. Benjamin Ikechukwu was not brought up in Agbor, does not speak Igbo, and as such does not really understand the intricacies of Igbo culture and tradition. Benjamin Ikechukwu cannot speak the Igbo dialect of Agbor; how then can he understand the fundamentals of Agbor historical and cultural institutions? That the kingship institution of Agbor is hereditary does not give him the right to burst into the scene and ignorantly supplant the real traditions of his people with alien ideas. Let the elders of Agbor stand up and call Benjamin Ikechukwu to order. I don't know if Benjamin Ikechukwu really told his people to stop practising Igbo culture. But if the young king actually said so, the elders of Agbor must rise up immediately and educate him so that he could learn that Agbor is fundamentally Igbo.

Guy, keep all this your English
I be Agbor boy for street ehhhh palace and everywhere for Agbor you know go hear am say Agbor man go tell you say him Na Igbo. I nor be igbo, our king nor be igb, our Chief nor be Igbo which one be your own. Just come Agbor palace or anywhere for Agbor come talk am!! Dien don talk simple. You fit go even ask Okowa the governor self..... Na wah for you you nor go respect Agbor peopel and their way of life........

Let him start by changing his name from Ikenchuku to Osagie.
Do you know is Oba of Benin that came to present Dien of Agbor, when he was 2 years of age and they coronated him as the youngest king. Do you know he leave with Oba of Benin a short while before going to England to stay with queen of England.

Where are Igbos? Come Agbor and talk this rubbish of yours

This end the thread please, for further research go and read more about history of IKAs and stop comparing the similarities. Culture and tradition in African had similarities and little differences, example "paying of bride prize in African"

Dien of Agbor has spoken and I quote "stop promoting igbo Culture " stop before ghost of your ancestor start pursing you. IKAs are unique in our own ways. RESPECT to all

Answer simple question. What more research do I need to do about my own people that will connect me to umuleri? A long time ago, lots of scams were being spread and shared by the Igbo online warriors. One of them was about a research carried out by a nonexistent group "Niger Delta Research Monitoring Group." Everything in the purported research were obviously concocted and propagated. Chief among the concoction was the history of Agbor which they claim was founded by a man callled Omini from umuleri. The fabricators shamelessly claimed Agbor, formerly called Ominijie was founded by omini who was nicknamed omini uzo ije because he was a traveller. This shows the desperation of these people. Everything about your quest screams fraud, scam, fabrication, concoction, surgery etc

Thank you brother. For more clarification type in your Google Search bar "is IKA igbo " and learn more. Will are unique

From Ika, i belong to the Igbo ethnic group.
Delta Igbos are a peculiar case with location in South south, NIger Delta, Biafra(artificially created). The ancestry on the Ikas is traced majorly to Umuleri in SE.

You miss road. Go and ask Dien or your Chief for more explanation.

I be Ika (Agbor) I can tell you that will are not igbo by ethnicity but will share culture with igbo and bini kingdom. Go and ask our ancestor and your biological father he will tell you that will are ikas, that answer your question because you can reget or act ignorant of what has being pass down by your forefathers all because someone just wake up and presented his opinion. I'm proud ika boy and I preach that anywhere I go to. I'm not inferior to any body. GO ASK OKOWA your Governor
