Court adjourns unlawful detention suit filed against DSS NEWS DIGEST – The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Thursday adjourned hearing in the case of illegal detention filed by David Nwawuisi against the Department of State Service (DSS) until June 6. Nwawuisi, an engineer by profession, was arrested in connection with his purported involvement with the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in 2015. NEWS DIGEST – Unknown gunmen on Wednesday killed four construction workers at Angwan-Rogo village in Jebu-Miango area of Bassa, Plateau State. NEWS DIGEST – The Police in Lagos on Tuesday arraigned a 62-year-old man, Sikiru Gbadamosi in an Ikorodu Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly enticing two teenage girls with money in exchange for sex. The accused, a resident of 8 Araromi St., Beach Area in Ikorodu community is standing trial on a count charge of sexual assault. NEWS DIGEST – The Nigeria Customs Service on Thursday night in Sokoto raided a warehouse in Sokoto and impounded 48 vehicles said to be illegally imported into the country. CXThe vehicles, made up of old model Lexus jeeps (2007 model) and Toyota Avensis (2005 model), were seized from one Mustapha Muhammed, popularly known as Mustapha Mafia, a member of Sokoto branch of Car Dealers Association of Nigeria.
