Is it a good center for the exam. I'm asking cos I'm currently in Owerri and planning to register for pte this month. [/quote]

The center is good, the system didn't lag nor tripped to restart but my issue was with the A.C, for some reason it wasn't and I was sweating like mad, aside this, there's no other issue with the center. Next time I'm writing, I'll definitely have them check the A.C before I write, as it really made me uncomfortable that day. If u need anything else, please call my attention. Goodluck
Education / Re: What Is The Difference Between B.sc Degree And B.sc (Hons) Degree? by Priceless25: 9:17pm On Sep 02, 2017
Bachelors degree and Bachelors degree (Hons) aren't much different, the former takes only 3 years to complete and writing a dissertation (project) at the end of the three years ism't mandatory but the later takes one more year to complete and requires one to write a dissertation at the end, also, in some countries, Bachelors degree (Hons) is considered more superior than Bachelors degree.

Contrary to popular unverified reports, Derico's father is very much alive, I see the dad whenever I pass their family house.

TAX AND TAX RETURNS

This information is to help guys on how the tax system works. I have limited knowledge when it comes to financial issues but the little I know should be enough to educate one or two people.

Financial year in Australia as you all or most people know starts from July - June. At the end of every financial year, you are expected to make your tax return to the Australian Tax Office (ATO). This return is meant to balance your tax for the financial year.
By this, it means to refund those that overpaid tax or collect from those that underpaid.

I have attached a document showing how incomes are taxed for those getting paid fortnightly. Most people are paid fortnightly.

The first column is the base tax for your first job or only job. For those who have a second job, the second tax column is the tax the second job will be taxed.

How does this work? On being employed by an employer, you will fill several forms including, bank account form, superannuation and tax file number (TFN) declaration form. The TFN declaration form is what your employer use to deduct tax from your income. I have attached the form in the second column.

Section 8 of the form says "do you want to claim tax threshold from this employer?". If you have only one job, tick YES and you will be charged the base tax rate. If you have more than one jobs, tick YES for the job that brings you the highest income or regular one while you tick NO for all other jobs.
This is because if you tick YES for all the jobs, at the end of the financial year, you would have underpaid tax and ATO will be after you to recover the difference. It is better they owe you than to owe them to avoid being harassed...Lol.

During the financial year, whatever you buy from your money for work like clothing, safety gears etc, make sure you keep the receipt. You can claim it back when you make your tax return. Those who use their cars for work can also claim the fuel money back during tax return. If you drive your car to work only, you can't claim the fuel in tax. Strictly for those who use their cars to perform their duties like those in disability, aged care, child protection etc.

You can give your tax return to tax accountants to help you make them. They charge between $50 - $100 and it is tax deductible meaning, you can claim it back in tax.

If you are working either full or part time and you are also studying any course that relates to your current employment which you have to pay for? You can claim your tuition fees back during tax return less $250. Government don't pay for the first $250 but will refund the remaining. If you buy books etc for the study, you can claim them back in tax. The key is, the course must be relevant to your job. Example, is an electrical engineer studying certification course in electrical engineering or masters or bachelors, you can get back your money if your current employment is in electrical engineering.
Always keep receipts and records of all your tax deductible items.

For tax table for monthly, weekly or annual income tax deduction, Google ATO and tax tables.

Damn any errors, I don't always proof read.

NB: I have tried several times to upload the documents but keep encountering error. Maybe the file is too large. When I find a way around it, I will upload them.

This is truly an altruistic act. For always looking out for, and taking care of our E-fam, may God richly reward u in abundance. U'll forever be in my prayers "Papa Bellong"... U're transforming lives. THANK U

I just heard they ve changed location, so I.might not be accurate. Anyway, its still the same closed fitted room, microphone and just that you are being watched from a glass in bellaz as against from a CCTV in Ukeas.
No much difference honestly... just ensure you test the microphone properly and be satisfied with the output before beginning, irrespective of how the admin will tell you otherwise.

Hello house

Writing a CDR for EA has proven to be more challenging than I thought it would be. Could anyone help me with a sample CDR? I'm a Mechanical Engineer, but a sample from any engineering discipline will be highly appreciated.

PS: I arrived Melbourne about a month ago and so far it has been good. Yet to get a job (casual, part time, or professional), but I'm working on it. Accommodation and transportation are relatively expensive. The weather is okay although it fluctuates a lot. Aussies hail from all over the world with the Brits and Asians dominating (relative population). I'm yet to discover a Nigerian network or community here (well, I'm indoors most times). So if you're in Melbourne or any other part of Australia, Holla @ me. I'll be happy to connect.

cc: Bellong, Bnimz, Mctowel, Ibiyemiara, Ifexsco

It's only gonna get better. U'll definitely find something soon. Goodluck

I wish there's a way FrankNetter can censor this thread in such a way that u'll need his approval before u can comment, in that way if u wanna write rubbish and derail this thread, he can gut ur a**es. D imps derailing this thread can actually create theirs but won't, coz they've got nothing to offer other than wait for someone else to create theirs and they'll rush to crap on 'em. @FrankNetter, pls continue with wht u're doing, d positive pple here are greater than d negative.
