Popular Nigerian actress, Kate Henshaw, has disclosed the secrets of her good looks and youthful appearance.
Even though Nigerian actress, Kate Henshaw is closer to 50 than 40, not just a few would think the actress is just in her late 20s.

The entertainer has managed to look trim, fit and sexy despite her age.

Known for her great love for dancing, Kate, as she is fondly called, said she has always loved music.

“Music is the food of love and it is for the soul. If they are playing good music anywhere and you refuse to dance, then you are evil. I mean when everyone around you is on their feet, sweating it out on the dance floor and you remain on your seat, are you the devil? Music is from the heart and since I choose to be happy, anywhere they play good music, I start to dance. That is the secret of my happiness and that is what makes me look young. I am happy all the time.”

Also known to be a fitness enthusiast, Kate revealed that ever since she discovered the benefits of exercising about seven years ago, she has not visited a hospital in five years.

“I began to really do exercises about seven years ago and the benefits are just numerous. I can see the changes in my body and my health is great. I have not been to the hospital in five years. Before I began to exercise, I used to have malaria, fever or typhoid almost every month but I have not been to the hospital for anything and I know it is because of the exercise and the fact that I decided to choose a healthy lifestyle. The more you exercise your body, the stronger you get. I keep pushing my limits at the gym because that is what I am supposed to do. Athletes and people who cherish their health never stop training, they keep going,” said the actress.

Culture / See Reasons Why Most Nigerian Parent Disapprove Inter-tribal Relationship by Primebrains(f): 11:27pm On Sep 22, 2017
Few relationship in Nigeria are working out fine while most relationship are nose-diving due to so many reasons.

Some reasons are Lack of understanding, Financial instability, Parent or friends pressures, Bareness, just to mention a few.

There are three(3) major tribe in Nigeria and each has the same culture they follow during their marriage procedures. In some tribe, their family culture maybe, their first daughter must not get married to from other tribe. For example, in the previous century, it is rare you see a Yoruba get married to an Igbo lady or an Hausa man dating a Yoruba lady.

DEFINITION OF LOVE
Love is having a strong feeling of affection and great interest and pleasure in someone. What people do not actually know is, Love does not have any barrier in terms of Tribe , Race , Delicacy , Language.

WHY DO PARENT GO AGAINST INTER TRIBAL RELATIONSHIP ?
Parent do have reasons for the pressures they put on their children but most of the reasons are meaningless. If the child finally yield to the instruction of the parent (leaving his/her true love) , if you can trace the progress of the new relationship, you will find out 90% are full of failure and lack of love.
The most painful part in the issue of some parent about inter-tribe relationship are the irrelevant reasons they tell their children such as:

Education / How To Gain Admission Into Any Tertiary Institution 2017/2018 [A Must Read] by Primebrains(f): 5:56pm On Sep 22, 2017
99.9% of Nigeria sees gaining admission into tertiary institution as a very difficult thing to achieve; I was once like that years ago when I wrote my first Unified Tertiary Matriculation, UTME examinations.
We all have the desire to be in the university system yet after sitting for the UTME exams and having passing the exams successfully we have that fear in our heart that we may not gain admission because of the competition in the country in pursuit of admission into tertiary institutions.

Sometimes we will be like “what if I don’t gain admission?” now think it the other way “what if you gain admission”.

To gain admission into tertiary institution is very easy as ABC, here are 6 things to do if you want to gain admission this year

Register for The Institution’s Post UTME: The first step is to purchase the school’s Post UTME form. Do well to register for the institution Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations known as the POST UTME, this exam is just a test of your knowledge so don’t be afraid.

Culture / Shock As Mysterious White Cat Appears During Man's Funeral And This Happened by Primebrains(f): 1:03pm On Sep 20, 2017
mysterious white cat has horrified mourners during a funeral after it appeared at the scene and refused to leave a man's grave.

A video has shown the moment a strange white cat turned up at a man's funeral and refused to leave his grave despite mourners trying to drag it away.

The mystery moggy can be seen pawing at and rolling around on the burial mound in astonishing footage recorded in Malaysia.
And the man who shared the video online said the person being mourned - his grandfather, Ismail Mat - 'loved cats'.
Writing on Facebook, he explained the cat appeared 'suddenly' and then started circling the grave.

He added: 'This white cat is actually not a pet cat, but probably a hometown cat near the mosque.
'The presence of this cat is interesting to our family, because the cat wouldn't leave the grave when we wanted to go home.
He said that despite the best efforts of family members to 'persuade' the cat to move on by pulling its legs, it simply refused.
'[When] we were all gone, the cat went back to the grave,' he added.
'Got info from the villagers, [they] said the cat was always wandering around the mosque…'

Politics / Army Vs IPOB: Osinbajo Meets Abia State Governor, IG Of Police...... by Primebrains(f): 11:56am On Sep 20, 2017
As part of efforts to calm frayed nerves in the troubled South East region, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, met behind closed doors with the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Osinbajo also met with the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

Ikpeazu said he was in the Villa to brief the VP on the IPOB crisis and other related issues in his state, but refused to reveal details of the discusion.

However, he said the visit by the northern governors represented by the governors of Borno, Kebbi, Katsina, Plateau and Sokoto on Monday, was reassuring.

Asked what was discussed, Ikpeazu said: “Well, I assured them of safety of lives and property of everybody that resides in Abia, whether you are an Abian or not. I swore with the Bible to protect lives and property and because I take such things seriously, I will continue to protect the lives and property of my brothers and sisters irrespective of where they come from.

"You know that the mainstay of our economy in Abia State is trade and commerce and I do not think it will augur well for our economy if we make our kitchen the theatre of Biafra.

“A native wisdom in my place says you shouldn’t allow fight to ensue from your mother’s kitchen. It’s my responsibility also to grow prosperity from my state.”

On allegations that IPOB crisis was sparked by failure of leadership in the region, Ikpeazu replied: “Allegations are supposed to be investigated by investigative officers and I’m not trying to investigate such things, so it’s just the masses, especially the press.

"We are perception builders; we should try to say things that are good about our country not things that are bad. I think there are enough reasons to see that under our circumstance that we may not be in Eldorado yet, but there are concerted efforts and attempts to make our place a better place…”

He added: “Nigerians know that for sometime now, this group called IPOB were agitating for a separate nation called Biafra and that the home state of the leader of that group happens to be Abia State.

"As expected, when such things happen there is an interface between some members of that group and the military, and the theatre was Abia State. And some people attempted to hijack that event to conflagrate our country. To the glory of God the rest is history, we are still working to stabilise the fragile peace in the region.”

Business / See Shocking Reasons Why Nigeria Entered Economic Recession by Primebrains(f): 11:37am On Sep 20, 2017
From the fall in the oil price, Niger Delta militancy, lack of diversification of the local economy, corruption and others; analysts have continued to link Nigeria's worst economic recession in 25 years to many issues.
A former Minister of Finance and one-time High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, has identified high overheads in governance and other expenses associated with Nigeria’s federal system as the reason why Nigeria fell into recession.

Abubakar stated this in Sokoto on Tuesday while hosting the Chairman, Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debt, Senator Shehu Sani.

The former Nigeria High Commissioner to the UK also said the creation of states under the federal system had heightened the level of corruption among its units.

He said, “Now, you have 36 states, you also have 36 governors. You have 36 state assemblies and may be you have 36 commissioners in each state.

“Then, all the money will be for payment of overheads. Now, all our money is used to settle political office holders.

“The more states we have, the more corruption we have. Creating more states won’t solve our ethnicity problem.”

Devastated mum Annemarie told Netwerk24 "It was very emotional watching it. I refused to sleep, eat or drink for a couple of days afterward. It’s difficult to imagine how long this has been going on for. I can see Laila is so, so broken after everything."

Education / BREAKING NEWS: ASUU Suspends Strike, Directs Lecturers To Resume Tomorrow by Primebrains(f): 10:47pm On Sep 18, 2017
The Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities, ASUU, has officially suspended its one month, six days old strike.

ASUU said it was suspending the strike till end of October for government to fulfill its pledges.

The union directed university lecturers to resume duty from tomorrow, Tuesday.

The suspension of the strike was announced on Monday evening after a meeting with the government delegation.

At the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the federal government delegation led by the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.

Mr. Ngige had earlier said both parties produced “collective agreement of action” after the meeting.

ASUU embarked on an indefinite strike on August 13, following government’s failure to implement the agreement reached with the union in November 2016.

Electricity Workers Threaten Strike, Nationwide Power Outage Looms | Primebrains

Barring any change in stance, Nigeria may soon be thrown into darkness should electricity workers, on the platform of National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, make good of threats to join the impending nationwide strike.

Financial Watch learnt the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, yesterday said loading of products, including aviation fuel, would stop from today as affiliates of United Labour Congress of Nigeria, ULC, begin an indefinite strike.

The industrial action is fresh move by the United Labor Congress, ULC, a union that seeks to act as umbrella for both NLC and TUC. However, leaders of the National Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Employees, NUBIFIE, said members may not effectively join the strike today because the union just concluded its delegates conference weekend, warning, however, that members would fully join should the strike persist.

But the Nigerian Labor Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, insisted yesterday that the ULC was fake, since it was not recognized by government, and urged Nigerians to ignore the group.

Similarly, the Federal Ministry of Labour also held on to its earlier position that the ULC was not recognized by the Federal Government.

The Presidency, through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said last night that the Presidency stands by the Labour Minister’s position that the ULC is not recognized by the Federal Government.
