*you can use it as collateral for loan
*you can quickly sell it off for immediate need of cash provided the price appreciate in the capital market
*you also still use it when you want to travel abroad as par of you asset at home.etc.

I think EDUCATION is very costly, Bad economy that make thins very hard is affecting studying generally.
