nitigriti: The fact that they will still tell you to politely remove it after all your explanation means you are not doing the right thing.
And that's if the MPs that meet you have their head correct on the day they meet you. Should you be unfortunate to meet MPs wey their head dey turn 24/7, they will completely mess you up.
Stop using Military insignia if you are not one of them.
My 2 Kobo.
I never said it's the right neither is it an offence. But if you can do it to scare touts and reduce ur fine from frsc and the rest then do it... Secondly if a sodier tells you to remove it, he is just being embittered or probably had a rough day... Worst case scenario is if you claim to be a sodier or you commit an offence that's when they will deal with you. Or you run a one-way on military guided road but anything outside this is fine. Take it or leave it
Christie171: Pls, where is this driving school 10500 is how many week's training
didn't go for the training naa, it's just Naija style. The money done cover everything for the training, I no even know where the driving school self dey, just pay the 10500 and wait when your license go come out. Am still waiting for my own sef. And they now have documentation that I passed the training next day I paid the 10500..
ajoks533: So after much checks and counter checks with my undergraduate kazeem and the SSCE holder kazeem.. We wia able to identify some hidden secrets. Bad evaporator, bad transmission, weak compressor, weak suspensions, converted from right hand drive to left hand. I just had to back off... Thanks guys for your advice. Still on the search...
That's very observing of him, Impressive. Please can you link me up to this your Kazeem so he leak out all the secret of the vehicle I am about to collect also... Thanks. Phone number remains the same
eherbal: military police no go hear all this explanations bro.even if ya dad na ex boy,you go know how far
They won't listen to you if you prove stubborn, they will only ask to remove it since you spoke maturely and told them your reason u pasted it. Simple, it's my dad's sticker he drives the motor himself most of the times. Call to confirm.
Let's assume my father-in-law is in the Air Force; does it mean I can put an Air Vice Marshal's flag on my car?
Flag I mean is just like army small banner reading "army combatant" that's always hang inside the car on the rear mirror.. Nothing else, that does not mean you are a sodier. It means either u are a sodier or ur brother who is a sodier owns the car or dad is a soldier
This one na ote main boy naa, he knows nothing abt military. If its me, I will defend myself and nothing will happen to me they will let me go with just a warning... they will only call to confirm.
Buy please if you can't go to barrack and let an officer do it for u, you can be a very good friend to a brutal sodier. please don't do it. Be warned.
I went to check a car sometimes with a sodier all dressed up with riffle. I also took a sodier as my second guarantor then. The owner of the vehicle was scared when he saw them, thinking he was in trouble and we all laughed over it... Role with military men always. Factz
Mjosh1000: What's the difference between using a sticker on a car and wearing a camouflage. No difference both is impersonating
Ok oo. I rest my case... I will tell you, once you go to any barrack and meet an officer and explain things to him and tell him to help with stickers that touts are disturbing your vehicle always. He will help you and even give you his number Incase, you have to call him when in trouble and also,he will only ask to recharge his phone once in a while. That's if you meet an educated young sodier. He will always you are his brother...
Rubbiish: I don't understand your explanation sir Are u a soldier? Or is your dad one? If a civilian should do all these things u listed, it will amount impersonation. Army wahala pass tout own O. At least u can beg touts with money, but army wetin u want take beg them?
My Dad is a retired military personnel. Note wen you use army sticker and flag, that is not impersonation, it shows that u are somehow related to an army and it lessens threat from touts..
Babadee1900: The day you meet with military officials on the road, do well to share your experience with us. In this hustle, it's all about been smart and knowing when to accept trip or decline. I have started noting down areas to avoid as a driver.
You do it with the help of military men. People comes to the barrack steady to request for this. My Dad personally has done it for so many people then... You just have to make a call when they stop you, trust me Army are friendly once you know how to be polite and friendly with them.. Even If a friend brings a car to me to drive to somewhere, first thing I do is, paste a sticker, army flag and belt, sometimes I wear our army polo shirt and wear another shirt ontop of it buttoned and I unbotton once am stop by touts...
Babadee1900: Left leg you mean to say . That's the trick or I shift to Neutral, pull up handbrake and stretch, raise bumbum up small.
I notice none of you guys use army sticker or army flag on your vehicles and a koboko on the dash board to scare out touts and few law enforcement... My question, "why". As for me, I go ahead as keeping a military belt on my dash board.
kodred: Not a bad price for a tokunbo. It will take you about 2 years to pay for the car.
If you don’t have prior experience in ehailing, it’s advised to do rentals first. Forget everything HP for now and focus on rental so you can get accustomed to the business and also a car (you would learn how to check and troubleshoot different problems as you drive).
If you jump on HP now, you might regret in the future bro. Remember, it’s not by HOW FAR but rather HOW WELL. Peace
mrjaydee: Oga sorry for the inconvenience. Uber and bolt are yet to pay for last week. Pardon the guy.
Please I want to understand something, those that are yet to be paid by Uber and bolt since last week. My question "if u were on hire purchase or rental, how would you now afford to pay your weekly delivery". Pls' I need u guys answer, its important for me to know.. Thank you
But he is right Biko... If he gives bad rating now, we will all blame him as a bad rider. But with his narration I notice he is a nice and understanding rider. Wish all rider was like him..
kodred: Bro for real, don’t do HP with a Nigerian used car. Test the waters with rentals. Forget all these mechanics, I took one to buy my previous car, a kia cerato; from everything is okay, I ended up spending over 200k changing parts in the next two months.
Don’t allow anyone pressure you into the unknown. There are many partners that will do less than 2mil on a Nigerian used car.
Do rentals first or else your other business will suffer the consequences.
Thanks guys. I appreciate each and everyones concern and advice. I have turned the offer, though I got another for 2.8m. corolla 2006. Toks. For HP also...
shyenar999: Please how much can I get a driving licence and how long does it take to be ready?
10500 for driving school and 13000 for license (3 years) or 18k for 5years... And it take 22 to 60 working days. But they will give you a cover note the next day showing you are processing your license
Ok @ used for ehailing before. You may need to know how long it has been used in Naija & ehailing. You can negotiate for something between 1.6 - 1.8 million
The owner has bought it 2years ago but have giving it to rental 6months or so. And he can't below 2mill. I have check and drove the car yesterday with my mechanic and he said everything seems good.
Epphy: 30k weekly is not bad but for you to meet up with the demands of HP (which most times include car maintenance) , you may have to work 5-6 days every week.
I suspect the car isn't toks going by the amount you're paying in total.
I would advise you speak with the person to give you the car on rental for few weeks to learn the hustle a bit before committing yourself to hire purchase
Thanks Bro... Much appreciated. It's a used car. He wouldn't agree on a rental. Cause it has been on rental before now but he wants to sell it on hire purchase cause he is not happy with the body maintenance (scratches and bumper hit) from the driver but the driver said said he is not ok with the totaling price, according to the owner.
Seniors in the house, Please I need you guys advice.
Have registered on the Uber and Ocar platform about a month ago or so. And I am about going into hirepurchase with a 2003 corrolla owner, to be paying him 30k weekly with a down payment of 150k. I want to start the enhailing business soon with this yet to collect vehicle... Am also a business man. I buy and sell, but it's no longer lucrative enough for me cause am married with 2kids. So I just need a side hustle to add to my business or better still face the enhailing full time... Please I need you guys candid advice, and will love to roll with you guys and know when and how and where and also what platform is best for the enhailing. Your help please. Who ask no dey lost...
