Hi NL Profs,

It's been a while. I am sorry I have been away from my NL profs building lecture. You guys know, when you hit certain digits in age, somethings need to get done simultaneously. I was away to settle marital scores as papa and mama won't let me breath on marital step up. Thank God, we don do am.. It's over now for good.

We have decided to shift from Mowe to "Ibadan Oluyole"
Got a new plot in Ibadan and works have commenced...

I have contacted few engineers and Architects for quotations but I think dealing with it myself with the help of a good trustworthy friend to manage it will go a long way.

As usual and NL tradition, I will be posting pics and expenditure so far for advice and suggestions.

Just use my own as a guide.
Your design may be a bit bigger or smaller to mine but l am sure if the land is not slope like mine you can NEVER spend up to
The amount l used on the foundation.
I must let you know that l was thinking that l will only use between 1000 -1200 blocks but end up using 1750 blocks.
Will in box you the man details now.

How many blocks and bag of cements do you use for the fencing alone?

I reside in Staten Island, New York. Its very unfortunate that this incident is coming up by this time. I accommodated 4 people from Nigeria.. I share a 2 bedrooms apartment with a fellow Nigerian before but the guy has moved out and a 50+ woman has moved in. I just had an issue with my landlord because water consumption of which I was forced to let 2 ppl go, third is working in a neighboring state. In short, I understand the guy very well, everybody knows the situation back home.... I might not be able to help with accommodation and finances but I can help with advice and some hints.

Thanks alot guys! My architect actually told me that I should prepare from N70k to 100k for the approval. I was trying to verify it in the house.

I will update you all as the update unveils.

@ OP, tell your architect to visit the Town Planning Office in Mowe for clarification. They have their office inside the Road Safety office in Mowe.

If it's not more than a bungalow on a plot of land, you should prepare like 100k

Pick up a form from the office for just N1,500

I have been reading alot here regarding the ups and downs when it comes to building a house in Nigeria. I am planning to build my first house in Mowe and I will need the help of the Profs in house.

1st question - My architect told me that the design approval fees is charged by square meter. Does anyone know how much Ogun State charge per square meter for the approval?

I will be posting the design here once its done for recommendations.

There are several types of those decoders... but the best is the one that uses HDMI cable. Some enhance picture quality to up HD 1080P while converting... See pix below... I have sent a RCA 50inches home from USA for me to know that it was a single system TV, so I bought the one with HDMI cable... I hope it does a great job back home.... If anyone needs it I think I can do a little help.

If you call it rubbish thats your own perception, but for me to act like that, just believe that its because I love her if not we would have gone different ways and I believe she knows it, I am not a controlling guy and of course she does have her privacy, But let me ask you a question, How will you feel if a lady called or sent you a message on Facebook and that person happened to be ur partner ex gf, telling you the affairs they have been having to the extend of aborting despite the fact you have already shown up to your in-laws and the wedding is on the way? will you still continue the relationship or will you ever trust ur partner again? I was in Nigeria, I told her that I want her do some tests I could see in her eyes that she was uncomfortable and to make it more understandable I said I am gonna do some tests too. Mimi234!!! I know why I did all these, You need to know alot about the person you gonna be for life with. To me, all these are necessary and I dont have to react any secret leaked to me.
