Its just eight days to a new year, everyone is busy making “new year resolution” promising themselves that they’d be better than who they are right now, but then we have one man who is doing something quite different. He came up with prophecies (God knows where he got them from) that would literary mean the end of Nigeria if by any chance those prophecies manifest.

Recall that in 2015, he predicted 20 things that will be experienced in 2016, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, has once again predicted about 22 things that would happen in Nigeria in 2017.

His prophecies were contained in a statement he personally signed on Friday, 23rd December, 2016. The statement reads:

Its reward time for whistleblowers as the Federal Government has approved a new policy on whistle blowing that aims to encourage Nigerians to report financial and other related crimes to relevant authorities.

The new policy was approved Wednesday at the meeting of the Federal Executive Council, chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari inside the Council Chamber of the Aso Rock Villa.

The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who announced the new policy to State House correspondents, said it is being put in place “in conjunction with the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice”. She said the aim is to strengthen the fight against corruption by the Buhari administration.

The political structure and of course, the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria delegates the administrative power and functions of a State on the Governor, who shall be the administrative Head of Government (of that State), the Chief Security Officer and also the Chairman of the State’s executive council.

The governor, on assumption of office is expected to run all administrative process and procedures with the State’s Deputy Governor, Members of the State’s Executive Council and other stakeholders of the state.

But Somewhere in Nigeria, the Governor of a State delegated the “control” of ministries of Women Affairs, Works, Health, as well as the Office of the Secretary to the State Government to his wife, the First Lady.

Kanu who is currently standing trial on an 11 count charge bordering on terrorism boasted at his resumed trial at an Abuja Federal High that he has secrets that will destroy Nigeria.

The trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako had fixed January 10, 11 and 12 for commencement of his trial, but the IPOB leader protested the decision of the Government to be tried in secret.

Zahra, the daughter of the President of Nigeria, has finally confirmed that she is getting married to Ahmed, son of billionaire businessman, Mohammed Indimi, on December 16.

Zahra, a graduate of Microbiology (yeah! she’s a Microbiologist, just like me *winks*) from the University of Surrey in England, posted “#zahmed2016 #InshaAllah’’ on Instagram. That was all we probably needed to douse insinuations currently making rounds on social media.
Quite interestingly, it would be a double celebration for the first family as the president would also turn 73 on December 17; a day after the set wedding date.

Portugal and Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, might be close to cruising home with his fourth Ballon D’Or on tonight.

Ronaldo first won the award in 2008 with Manchester United. He had to wait until 2013 to win his second and also won it the next year.

Ronaldo, 31, won the Champions League for the second time in three seasons this year and also led his country, Portugal to their first major title at Euro 2016.
