I attended an all boys sec sch. Early 2000. Bullying was something else. I had to leave second year. One I'll not forget was when someone defecated in one of the common rooms and all the occupants of the two hostels were made to touch the damn shit and make a sign of the cross on their forehead with it. You could be made to fetch 15 buckets of water from the stream for an offence, or given 10 hot strokes or made to dig your height. I just know all that must have stopped now. It was a hell of an experience, and what made it worse was the fact that students take it all in waiting for their own turn to unleash terror.
