The Location of Jesus at that particular night was unknown to everybody except his 12 disciples. Judas brought the Roman soldiers to his secret location and identified him by kissing him. I was going through Matthew's account on Judas' role in the death of Jesus and I was a bit puzzled on the actual substance of betrayal in the events so described (Mat 27 I think). So, I thought I should bring this up here. What significant role did Judas play that aided in Jesus' death? The 30 pieces of money was paid for what role actually? Why was the 'betraying' kiss of any significance at all when Jesus' identity was not a secret neither was he hiding. Was it just a ceremonial betrayal?
