Do not go out of transit area at Istanbul as you may not be able to use the visa again if you are on a single entry.

STUDENT VISA APPLICATIONS



(including students traveling to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, students traveling for language training purposes, students wishing to study in Turkey and other countries)



1. At least 6 months valid passport, with enough blank pages for visa sticker (to be seen and returned to the applicant until the approval of application),



2. Copies of the relevant pages of the passport (data and extension pages),



3. Duly filled visa application form,



4. One (1) passport-size photograph,



5. Admission and Acceptance Letter by the University,



6. Payment receipt of school fees,



7. Confirmation letter from the school acknowledging receipt of payment,



8. If the travel purpose is language training, the certification of language course issued by the Turkish Ministry of Education,



9. Proof of basic education, copies of graduation diploma and certificates (W.A.S.C., S.S.C.E., Statement of Result, etc.) duly signed and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministy of Foreign Affairs thereafter,



10. Proof of BA education, copy of university graduation diploma duly signed and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thereafter.(For master students),



11. Guarantee letter signed by the sponsor and the student, stating that the sponsor will cover all the expenses of the student, and that the student will never apply to any person or institution (including university) for financial support or scholarship, certified by a notary public,



12. A copy of “Certificate of Company Incorporation” of the sponsor,



13. A copy of certificate of income tax clearance of the sponsor,



14. Original “personal” bank statement for the last three months of the sponsor together with original approval/reference letter from the bank branch manager





NOTE: Students who will study in countries other than Turkey are granted with one-month valid transit visas.

1. it doesn't if same surname or not but he should have good reason to back it up
2. Then that means he has not paid tax this year or from the last expiring date so its a threat to him/her....but if the date of expiring is last year 2012 then no problem with that.

usdane: those stamps from M.O.E and M.O.F.A are they necessary for Visa or when registring at your school in the NC? I thought we do not submit stamped copies from those ministries. We only need them when we got to the schools in the Island. Originals and simple copies would suffice for visa issuance.

penroll55: You can book one way ticket with turkish airlines and have no problem in instanbul or ercan but most times Nigeria immigration officers use it as means to extort money from first time travelers.So the only place you might have a problem is in Nigeria Airport but if u are sharp and smart you will go with it without giving them anything cus its none of their concern if you going with one way or not.
So if you dont plan going back soon then one way is okay for the smart ones though but if you dont have mind or scared easily when threaten then buy at least a month return ticket and you can cancel the ticket and request for refund of the return ticket and turkish airline will give you back.

Please I want to confirm truely if I can get an admission for the September intake which is next month for masters degree program at EMU, I have all the funds necessary and all my results and everything that is required for the admission of intact, because I have one of the agents of the EMU that told me to bring my credentials for the the process and I don't want to have all hopes on getting the admission and at the end I won't. Please clarify me on this issue please.
u know Mr Wip and I believe u have been following this tread all the while why then do you want to go spend your money on AGENTS,why not save the money and plead with mr wip to assist you go about the admission if it is still possible than to start wasting the small money with you even though you feel you have all the funds available with you,but believe me no amount of fund will be ok for any human being anywhere ,what determine the sufficiency of funds with you is your rate of RATIONALITY as co-relates with consumers behavior.just be wise and rational in spendingooooooooooo

wip7: NC do nt have problem with one way or half way tickets..is your immigration pple in Nigeria that will disturb you especially first timer. You guys may try ETIHAD AIR is quite cheap and comfortable..i used it to Japan and not bad. You may check that to Istanbul and then get Atlast jet to NC.. baggage size around 30kg though! But there would be almost 300-500usd cheaper than Turkish Air.

wip7: You need visa and if is entry visa, it takes you about 8wks to secure that from NC. If you have UK or Schengen visas you can apply online and obtain ur visa within 24hrs. You will need IV letter from him to facilitate your visa appli.

Now to answer your question, its ₦300 to Authenticate per document, so if you are authenticating 2 documents, its ₦300 X 2 which is ₦600, which you will pay at the respective banks of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign affairs.
Besides you'd be very Lucky to have them done this coming week with the mad crowd that you'd bump into at this time (esp after the Sallah break)
Trust me you going to have to waaaaaaaaaiiiiit esp @ M.O.E.

I will also advise you to be more respective, polite and display good Nigerian character when you send emails to officials or unknown people. I have read most of your mails you directed to EMU including the registrar but you sound very authoritative and not official or formal. When EMU top officials read ur email they said this should not be prospective MSC student....I know too much sun can cause it...... It's just advise oooo am giving. Anyway ur case been resolved.

If your name is EDMUND and admission ref is 2795, kindly check your email and contact the EMU registrar to notify them your name has been sent to YAOUNDE instead of Nigeria. If not you will be informed your name is not in Turkish embassy in Abuja.

Temas: Yea i am a Grad student in EMU.As for your Question,Depending on the number of semesters(years) your program might takes,and excluding tuition,accommodation and all other stuffs u mentioned above like clubbing and all that.let me make an example from my experience, i spend less than 10k per month after settling down. When u come down here, u might spend up to 16k($100) before u get used to the terrain. As per sponsor sending money, i dnt have a sponsor! in other words self -sponsored... but mind you broda i did my home work well before i left the shore of nigeria. i made a budget of 1yr for my feeding and accommodation and paid all tuition. Lucky me due to my Work experience and all that (Dnt ask me what job experience) i was able to get a Grad student Assistant-ship position with the school IT dept.Money not much but the experience worth it. i dnt have any regrets coming to EMU.dnt have it at the back of ur mind that u can get job to pay tuition fee or accommodation (its not impossible). but for feeding u will survive if you sabi cook!!
