HealthRe: 10 Hospitalised After Amala Meal by pritypeety(f): 2:36pm On Aug 05, 2010
@tosinade I bet wen u come to Malaysia u would get tired of rice, hehehe. Neways I just got amala from one woman that buys them from Nigeria and sell to we students here in Malaysia but on getting home I refused to prepare this amala cos the colour of the amala flour was weird, and thinking of 100's that have died from eating amala. I dunno am so scared to death now even though Amala is d only solid food I like to eat with soup.
@topic, Amala is very expensive so I believe some wicked people have devised means to start adding other things to it or that particular woman had something to do wif the amala.

TV/MoviesRe: Kajola: Nollywood Science Fiction To Be Released Soon by pritypeety(f): 9:35pm On Mar 15, 2010

@pritypeety
If "Kajola" was purely animated it would have been better, but the issue of putting realism in an animated work really matters. Like in "District 9" for example, the visual effects team tried to make the 3D characters and elements look as real as possible.
"Kajola" is not a bad attempt and I can't wait to see the full length film. I pray it has a very good storyline.

"Avatar" became the highest selling film in China. But I wonder why the government later withdrew it from theaters? Was it because of the high price on IMAX 3D movie tickets?

I don't think dats d only reason, It got very popular but the story line shows what really happens in china. They banned it out of fear of political unrest.

jrtorrents:
this is good but it doesnt look realistic. meanwhile there is another Sci-fi movie coming up from Kenya, called Pumzi and in my regard I it looks better. Hopefully its good news for Africa, they have to work on it,  eventually it will be good over time. Below is the Keynan one

That was a nice trailer neways. There is no difference btwn this and araromire looks more realistic only that araromire is more traditional. (Thats y love d movie more, its original)

tlops:
hmmm, what makes it sci fi, the soundhuh??
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Science fiction is a genre of fiction. It differs from fantasy in that, within the context of the story, its imaginary elements are largely possible within scientifically established or scientifically postulated laws of nature (though some elements in a story might still be pure imaginative speculation). Exploring the consequences of such differences is the traditional purpose of science fiction, making it a "literature of ideas".[1] Science fiction is largely based on writing rationally about alternative possibilities.[2] The settings for science fiction are often contrary to known reality.

These may include:

  * A setting in the future, in alternative timelines, or in a historical past that contradicts known facts of history or the archaeological record This sounds more like d movie I guesshuh
   * A setting in outer space, on other worlds, or involving aliens[3]
   * Stories that involve technology or scientific principles that contradict known laws of nature[4]
   * Stories that involve discovery or application of new scientific principles, such as time travel or psionics, or new technology, such as nanotechnology, faster-than-light travel or robots, or of new and different political or social systems (e.g., a dystopia, or a situation where organized society has collapsed)[5]
TV/MoviesRe: Kajola: Nollywood Science Fiction To Be Released Soon by pritypeety(f): 8:56pm On Mar 15, 2010
This is a nice try but I think Araromire looked more realistic. Kunle Afolayan guy did a very nice work. kajola would have been better if it were purely animation in fact it would have been superb. Thing is, u know our naija actors are not so into the stunts thing, (Don't get me wrong, they are good unto our naija levels) so u are likely not to enjoy the movie if u are the type dat hardly watch niaja movies. U would end up comparing the stunts there to Chinese movies and American movies. In fact am sure u would end up lafing ur ass out when u think of a movie like Jack Bauer's 24!
You know why dis American movies always look so flawless even though they are not? They spend money training their actors for as long as 6 months (Angelina Jolie's Tomb raider). They bring in professionals to handle few things like car driving, Plane flying, parachutes flying and other things that requires professional touches (learned this from James bond 'die another' day behind d scenes).
This I must say: Give room to those who want to criticize movies cos even nice American movies get  bashing from critics. Without critics review, producers might not produce better movie!. Even avatar did not go well in china and later on, some critics descended on it.

AutosRe: Beware Of This Fuel Sales Attendants Tricks by pritypeety(f): 4:18pm On Feb 20, 2010
I sincerely hope that naija would improve one day. Here in Malaysia u fill ur tank ur self after paying the amount u want to the cashiers. So the fuel attendants don't even collect money and they don't need to fill up ur tank, u can do it ur self. This way, cheating is reduced.
