Made farmers rich and blooming.
Stabilized alot of things like prices for most of his tenure.
Completed alot of abandoned projects from past presidents. (Most especially 2nd Niger bridge and the railway)
Started and completed projects too.
Cared for pensioners by paying arrears of pensions, resumed paying pensions till he left.
SureP candidates enjoyed all through
Market women also enjoyed funding.
School children ate free meal even though greed later set in.
Security wasn't topnotch though, alot lost their lives.
He also gave too much power and freedom to his ministers who mostly misbehaved.
The cash scarcity that happened towards the end of his tenure was badly managed, he gave too much room for minister to run rogue.
Too loyal that he didn't change those who should have been changed and jailed. |

seunlayi: Same people that refused to allow Jonathan remove subsidy. I started using Buhari since that time. You that was one a petroleum minister in late 70s and a former head of state that supposed to know what is happening better. How come he didn't remove it for 7years, 8 months? |

Putindbutt: I don't know why we have a short memory or selective amnesia in this country. In 2022, Buhari signed the PIB into law, the law became effective. Under the PIB, fuel subsidy is no longer backed by the law, it becomes unlawful. And due to this fact, Buhari did not make provision for fuel subsidy in the 2023 budget, hence, why Tinubu said subsidy is gone. The subsidy at the time was only provided for a six month period which was supposed to expire in June 2023. As a matter of fact, Tinubu still continued with subsidy till the end of 2023 - mid 2024 due to high exchange rate after the naira was floated. Right now, subsidy is effectively over and the oil sector is effectively decentralized boosting investors confidence in the market to invest and maximize profits. Didn't the same media tell us it was Tinubu that begged him to kickstart the process on his behalf? You are trying to judge someone who ruled for 8yrs on a 2-3 months policy made while leaving? Did Tinubu tell you that decision wasn't what he wanted? |

You wanted to eat your cake and have it?
Whether you have spent it or not is not the issue, consent to a refund is a red flag. |

Is that enough reason for such?
Not possible.

A system failure happened in Nigeria and anyone that is part of that failure can never make it work.
No Nigerian born and raised in Nigeria, trained under this system can be the saviour.

Before we can see another politician that can have a huge block votes and followership like Buhari, it's going to take decades upon decades.
People that knew him when he was outside power never left him even now in death.
Those who lack anything called integrity always fight tooth and nails to find a dent to hold on to when it comes to seeing someone with integrity.
A small VDM that is growing some integrity is being attacked daily for daring to be different even though he's not in politics how much more a person like Buhari.
People hate what they can't be in millions of years. |

sulaak: Buhari took over from GEJ, whose last FDI was. was $4billion., Buhari in 2016 turnded the $4billion inFDI into an FDI of $3b. Tinibu took over from Buhari when the FDI was $900 m, according to your statistics. Buhari was a disaster, and your post proves it. Covid 19 happened during his tenure. Oil prices dropped to the lowest during his tenure too. While concentrating on whatever happened, don't forget to mention the situations too. Lastly, why did you ignore the other stat? I purposefully sent 2 just to measure your ability to judge justly and you failed woefully. Now that I've established you are not a logical and fair sportman, I take my leave. |

Why were they there? At that time of the night What was there mission Was it to arrest Igboho? Why not invite him. Why go at that time. What was his alleged offence?
So there was a gun duel Did Nnamdi Kanu also engage them in a gun duel when they were shooting at his house Is that normal? Gun duel in the middle of the night?
The same Buhari that removed a Supreme Court Chief Judge unlawfully Went to arrest another in the middle of the night It was on the news. Stop wasting my time. I don't have such for your time. Adios. |

Numerouno94: Lol @ ur first sentence.
Dantata can decides to be buried anywhere, same applies to Buhari. I was only trying to tell u that one deciding to be buried in his or her hometown has nothing to do wit patriotism. The word PATRIOTISM has been bastardised in Africa. It's patriotism to want to be buried in your country when you have options of being buried anywhere else. And yes, Buhari was a patriot, he might not have ruled to everyone's satisfaction but he loved Nigeria. You can't hate Nigeria and still serve in her military arm from a young age. |

aribisala0: If he truly wanted him dead? What did he want? Somebody died at his house that night was that a joke How was he fulfilled? You are not in any position to judge that
He was president twice? Did he fulfil Nigerians?
A man that was so wicked as to inflict the currency change crisis in 2023. For what reason? What was the purpose?
Yes we try not to talk bad of the dead if we can but Buhari was truly heartless Remember what he did to Dasuki The Shiite leader The Benue People Fela. What was Fela's crime I am sure Seun Kuti will release a mocking video The way he kept Shagari under House Arrest and sent Ekwueme to KiriKiri
He executed Nkem Owoh's brother for drug trafficking even though there was no death penalty at the time the offence was committed
One day we will learn what his role was in the pogrom of 1967 Maybe you think you are talking to a baby here. Whoever died that day was said to be one of those who engaged the security agents in a gun duel. Like I said, if truly Buhari was interested in Igboho's death, he would have been killed whether in Nigeria o or Benin republic. Use your head. |

He continued building abandoned infrastructure started by those before him, finished many, started and also finished some infrastructure.
He did alot when it comes to Infrastructure. Power was not that stable though, fashola fumbled big time.
There was not much of strikes in 8yrs compared to those before him.
Fuel scarcity wasn't that much too.
I know people that legitly made alot of money during his time.
Farmers cashed out big time
Foodstuffs prices were relatively stable until later part of his tenure including cost of cars and fuel.
Jappa wasn't really popular until late into his tenure when it was sure Tinubu was gonna be the shege on the beat. |
