I only opened this thread after I was invited for the interview because then I needed important information. Since after my interview I've been here every day because all of us here have something in common, and reading the playful comments reminds me that we're all anxious and hoping for the best.
These jokes aren't hurting anybody so please, allow them. In my opinion, I believe the official NNPC twitter handle might be a more suitable place to receive "important updates", not nairaland

My "sauce" who works in NNPC (but not in HR) believes the recruitment will be concluded latest early next month. When I reminded him/her about approval by FCC, he/she said all that can be fasttracked.

Second info I got: 1000 GT and less than 500 EH will be hired.

So keep your fingers crossed. But pls don't crucify me if it doesn't turn out exactly accurate o. Things can change.

I didn't ask about correlation between TP and APL. God forbid. That kind of question can "fall one's rank". It will make me look like a fool.

However, let's not forget the fact that staff of "govt" owned establishments are perceived as people prone to corrupt practices.

So, some people might want to stay away from such organisations and instead, stick to private sector companies.

I remember back then in 2010. After interview with an oil servicing company, we were asked to drop account number for tfare support. I never received it till date but I got the job. 90% of those that received didn't get the job.

I am not saying there is correlation between the two companies so don't panick. I just wanted to share but I believe it is a tendency in some people. They will be like "forget that guy, once he receives the appointment letter he won't complain about not receiving the tfare".

Collect the stipend/reimbursement (if you haven't) and continue praying for the APL cos there's no correlation btw reimbursement and APL in this case.

When I did my I. T at PPMC in 2013, my Oga then, the then operation superintendant kept lamenting and gingering the junior staff to be serious with their job because if any get query and gets sacked, that the village people will disown them for playing with such opportunity, being an NNPC staff.

BOTTOM LINE, allow people to express themselves in any way here because this Job, God willing, is one of a life time achievement.

haha..today has yet taken another turn..well, while everyone shouldn't take all claims serious about this Tfare-APL conundrum (remember yesterday someone said his source rubbished the idea, and now today the opposite..so different sources with contrasting feedback - a good sign of uncertainty)
but for fun lol, approaching this situation from a logical standpoint, why would NNPC re-imburse that early. Re-imbursement means expenses..so think of it this way, why would NNPC create expenses that early. All companies hate expenses/costs and try to reduce them at the slightest opportunity. So now let's assume there is a conspiracy theory (which i doubt) think this way ''HYPOTHETICALLY", as if you are NNPC.

why should we spend additional money that quickly for a certain number of applicants, remember we would like to cut cost. what could compel us to spend money on certain applicants this early. lets see our expenses at this stage concering Tfare and renumeration..

successful applicants renumeration + Tfare renumeration(for unsuccessful candidates) + Tfare renumeration (for successful candidates)...

i'm going to spend twice on successful applicants, i can cut that cost by not giving them their Tfare since i would still spend on them with the renumeration and then spend on Tfare renumeration for unsuccessful candidates.expenses become

successful applicants renumeration + Tfare renumeration(for unsuccessful candidates).

now this is assuming there is any such conspiracy which i once again doubt lol. The above is just for play thinking logically
