I'm extremely confident of other parts. In fact, I'm not sure I will get any answers wrong in reading.
But all this result with a 7.5 in listening will drop my CRS to about 430 from a possible 480...

I'm so tensed. I can't even sleep well.

I’d advise you to take it easy. I had similar fear after I wrote mine and it was so bad that I was continued studying IELTS materials immediately after the test. I refused to voice my fear to anyone but simply prayed silently. Till date, I still marvel at how I maxed out and got an overall score of 8.0!
So Bro, please relax..

For the listening test, depending on your Centre (I can only speak for Mainland Centre at Workforce, Gbagada, Lagos), you’ll be provided a headphone.
In the listening session also, you’ll be given an opportunity to check the sound/volume of the computer before the test commences.
In the same vein, you can simply type all your answers in upper case, so you don’t have to bother about changing from Caps lock.
The availability of system clock is another benefit to test takers.

Overall, I’ll advise anyone to take the computer-delivered IELTS.

Computer-delivered test has the functionality of word count in the writing test. So you don’t have to bother about counting the number of words you’ve written per time. Also, you don’t have to worry about an illegible handwriting.

In the reading section of a Computer-delivered test, you save more time as you don’t have to erase wrong answers. You simply click or drag answers on the computer screen.
Also, a large part of the passages are shown on the left hand side of computer screen while the questions are the right hand side. Thus, making it easier for you to quickly search through/navigate.

You can highlight any part of a passage on the computer screen by simply right clicking and selecting the option. So, that benefit is not limited to pen and paper test only.

Hope these few points are helpful.

Thanks for the info, but from my discussion with some senior NNPC staff at the beginning of the month, no EH candidate from the 2019 recruitment exercise had been called. I also met some of the GTs who came in to collect their letters for Medical screening.

You may ask your bank if they have dollar-denominated card account which could be useful for your purpose.
Firstbank for instance has a VisaGold account, you’ll simply fund the account and pay for WES with the card.

I am in a dilemma and I would appreciate your opinions as to which option to go with. My wife works with one of the Big 4s and she needs to give them 3months notice b4 resignation.

Option 1: I land alone, try to settle into the country and make adequate provisions for her and the kid. With this plan, wife and kid would come after her 3months notice period. However, someone told me that if I come alone, immigration may not allow them entry because I am the PA and that the PA is expected to travel with them.

Option 2: She applies for leave from work and We all come together but she and d kid do softlanding. They return back to Nigeria after spending one month and she drops her resignation letter and wait out the 3 months notice period. My issue with the second option is that we would have to spend money on flight twice..

From my experience in the Big 4, she can leave even with 1 month notice.
She’ll notify HR and her Managers/Partner, do her clearance and pay in lieu of the notice period (i.e. she’ll refund “part” of her emolument which would have been stated on her employment letter, for the other 2 months).
