Boot into recovery
Wipe date
Wipe cache
Go to where you see advanced

Wipe dalvik cache
Then go back
Choose zip from sdcard
Then locate your material ROM zip file
Then flash

Wait till it's done then reboot

Then download recovery here

After that open the app you downloaded and then
Grant super user access

Go to where you see flash recovery
Open it then locate your recovery.img you downloaded from that link

Then flash it

And you're done.....

morni guys, hope yha nite was gr8. i've bin using my P4 for months nw with d stock ROM dat came wit it. bt i'm tired of seeing d same features everyday, meaning i wanna port to a custom ROM. i nid suggestions on d type of rom i should port to, wit links. A rom wit nice features like, a beta ba3 backup, beta camera, etc, nd lastly which is bug-free. u re blessed as u try to help.

1. it'z a very nice nd lucrative course
2. b4 or wen u graduate, u will b able to establish ur own business wit it, instead of looking for job wey no lost
3. b.sc over ND/HND discrimination in Nigeria.

saibinc: ClockWorkMod currently has no recovery.img file for the Gionee P4. However, You can use Terminal to backup the whole ROM but for what purpose do you to do the backup?

I might suggest a better method for you.

d reason y i wanna backup iz bcus i want to flash my rom. so incase there is any error during d course, i'll b able to roll back to d previous config.

xup bro, gat an issue wit my newly bought gionee p4. if i should open some installed apps, it would show 'application error'. i downloaded some videos nd even received sum tru bluetooth, bt if i want to open these videos, it shows 'can't play video'. i've used different types of media player bt itz still d same. plz help me wit dis prob cus i bought d fone nt less dan two weeks ago. i've successfully rooted dis fone wit baidu root app. fanx as u reply
