you maybe using China rom, so you are bound to see some Chinese words here and there. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your phone.

They will track the phone using the IMEI. Any SIM inserted would automatically 'use' the IMEI to connect to network. So they just have to track your phone's IMEI to pinpoint the exact location of the phone and also collect the details of any new SIM inserted- info like picture, address, fingerprint.

IMEI tracking is done by network providers not the police, but since it involves a criminal investigation, they require police authorization. You should be ready to spend like 30+ and be very patient.

Go to the nearest police station. They will give initiate an IMEI tracking process, once a new sim is placed inside the phone.

Makes me wonder if there are professional security agencies specializing in retrieving stolen phones. The market is wide.

I have been asking this question too.

The only option is to wait for the phone to be sold and involve the police to track the user through IMEI. I wish there's a way, like a website or app to track the exact location of an offline lost phone.
