Over 60% of immigrants who have green card or permanent residency or whatever were once illegal immigrants. They either got it tru marriage or the runs they do with $7k. Most that do those runs are either married back here, or have someone already. Having said this, illegal immigrants still work and make some money. The problem is some get so carried away, and feel so comfortable with what they are earning that they don't even move forward. Whle others are making moves to get a permanent residency, then green card, they are busy living the easy life and squandering every penny, moving with wrong cliques. At the end others have gone far, while they don't have a permanent residency, they dont have savings, they still do the same odd jobs they have been doing for years. 90% of those who get tourist visas have zero Intentions to come back here until they are fully secured. (once u over shoot 6months at a goal u have to remain there and find a way to get your residence then green card). There are thousands of single babes there who are citizens even Nigerians who are citizens one can hook up with. Point is being there illegally, is not an excuse not to make it. Focus, get grounded, then u can start doing fala folo. My friend as clocked 8 months now, works as a cashier in a restaurant, earns $10 an hr. Average of $600 a week. Stays in a $750 per month house.(,has flat mates). He is looking out seriously now to get married, though his choice is a white girl, which i am not so comfortable with. Truth is no one is looking for u to deport u, and they don't just deport like that. Don't just comit crime. If u want to be a developed country, its time we start doing what developed countries do for their citizens. 5k may not be enough, but someone who eats now and doesn't know when next he will eat, or for someone who doesn't even have an idea of what to eat, 5k to him is a big relief at least. This social scheme is practised in the UK, in the US and other developed countries. While some live on Government stipends, some are alao trained on different vacations. There are different social schemes. The Government giving 5k to her extremely pior citezens is commendable and a good start.
