Johnnyessence: she's a liar, Infact the video was very real not doctored video at all. pmb failed in appointing liar aides. so so pathetic. Even The Cable confirmed it was doctored to look worse than it actually happened by deliberately repeating some parts. He has read other speeches b4 now, so there is no big deal in this. I have experienced a well learned speaker struggle with his speech like this, that he had to be taking of stage because they thought he was going to collapse. So much noise about nothing. |

SalamRushdie: But we all remember it was people like Buhari who put pressure on Jonathan not to go hard on Boko Haram initially when he said " any attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north" .....The failure of Jonathan in tacking Boko Haram properly lies with Nothern elders like Buhari who tribalised and sabotaged the fight against terrorism to the point that even soldiers of northern extraction refused to fight Boko Haram but will instead abandon superior equipment and ammunition for them in the Name of tactical retreat... Jonathan's fight was so much sabotaged by the northerners in the military that he had to no choice than purchase just 100 fighters from executive outcomes of South Africa who turned the War around in just two weeks before people like Buhari started calling for their removal again Keep up with ur conspiracy theories cooked up for the staples of your beer palor media. Even your principal u defend with these lies can not make all these frivolous claims. We heard him blame several things for the lingering fight of BH, non of what u mentioned is part of it. Keep living in self deceit. I guess ur reasons justifies the over 2bn dollars used to fight the war that Dansuki was giving out to family and friends. |

Politics › Re: See Nigeria Economy In Pictures by progress69: 4:43am On May 15, 2018 |
trillville: So it was weak sarcasm.
Who said a weak currency signifies a weak economy?
I said devaluation of the naira has created an imbalance making people poorer.
I said an increase in minimum wages would lead to further devaluation and further poverty.
I never said anything about a recession. Provided oil prices do not fall before Nigeria bulks up it's excess crude oil account (not foreign reserves), Nigeria may not witness another recession for 30 years.
This however does not mean the Nigerian masses would not be forced into mass poverty.
Note that Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa yet has the highest number of people living in extreme poverty on earth. Isn't it ironic, don't you think. U are still.making more noise. The OP posted a pic of a $100 bill and then some naira.... Using it as a criteria to attack the economy. I responded to that.... So where all this noise is coming from...i nor understand. In b/w Nigeria does not have the highest number of people living in extreme poverty....stop saying nonsense. |

Any one who supported the reelection of Jonathan after his brothers as he famously called them wiped out over 13000 Nigerians under his watch due to his self indictment of treating terrorism with gloves hands have no moral justification to question my support for Buhari despite killer herdsmen killings which is an obvious multiplier effect of the poor handling of BH and other criminal elements in the last administration.

Politics › Re: See Nigeria Economy In Pictures by progress69: 3:54am On May 15, 2018 |
trillville: Is this an attempt at sarcasm or a request for knowledge?
Please use Google or even better ask your parents how devaluing the naira in the 80's ruined the middle class.
As a matter of fact, you are currently passing through an experiment on devaluation. You see, after devaluing a currency, an imbalance occurs. The citizens clamour for increases in minimum wage, which if granted will lead to an increase in demand for dollars, which in turn will make the foreign reserves fall putting further pressure on the currency and leading to further devaluation.
Quite a vicious cycle. Best bet is to invest in treasury bills as rates are surely going to rise tremendously in the coming years. Mtcheew. U are just making noise. As in silly noise! U know absolutely nothing about economics. Weak currency does not necessarily mean weak economy. The same "strong" US dollars didnt save US and others from a deep recession, that Nigeria with the weak Naira never slipped into during the last global recession. |

Metuh: It's not about any rubbish power battle
It's about obeying Court judgments and orders that Buhari can never do. The senate should never have suspended anyone in the first place if its about obeying court orders. There is a supreme court ruling that clearly stated that the NASS does not have any power to suspend anybody, they got away with Jibrin does not mean they will always get away. Everyday people are becoming more politically aware. I choose to ignore the other part of your comment ..because it is synaomynous with perpetually bitter losers who never got over the fact that a certain sitting president lost. |

Why must you install your in-law? Nonsense Okorocha may want to install his inlaw but that doesnt mean the process wasn't flawed. They could have resisred Okorocha with hijacking the whole process. The Oyegun led committee chose to work against him simply he because he was one of the governors who mainly opposed and fought the 1 year tenure enlogation. We need to look beyond inlaw or no inlaw. I have said it before, Oyegun is the major problem of APC. How can over 10 states be having divisions under your watch over the years but choose to do nothing about it. |

It is simply racial profiling. She should sue them more if possible. They have previous record. Gbam! I just tire for the comments. I remember travelling with my dad and i was sitting behind him. The white guy sitting next to my dad told him not to touch him with his skin. Fast forward several minutes on the plane....he slept off and was the one head budding my dad.
